Re: PACIFIC GENERAL for PZc 2

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting the problem could be overcome by randomization, especially for naval combat. Foreknowledge is a bigger problem for the navy than land battles because naval battles take place at range. Whereas in land battles even if you know what your enemy has, you still have to fight the...

Re: PACIFIC GENERAL for PZc 2

Personally, I found Pacific General quite dull. The dense jungle makes for a quite static gameplay. Sure, you had the island invasions and stuff, but the ground combat was to a great extent an infantry meat grinder. Of all the possible DLC options for Panzer Corps 2, I'd put the Pacific theatre at ...

30% it's just racketeering
Racketeering: dishonest or fraudulent business dealings

How is this even remotely relevant to Steam? They charge a cut in exchange for helping to bring in customers and taking payments. If you don't think its worth it, you don't have to use Steam.

Re: Maps seem a bit flat

A press review build that isn't youtube friendly seems a curious choice given that all the press reviewers posted their gameplays on youtube. Where did I say it wasn't Youtube friendly? All I said was that the details had been compressed out by Youtube. Nothing we can do about that. It's also depen...

Re: Graphics options in Pz2?

Afaik no option to make it look like old PC. I get where this is coming from. I was very skeptical of the graphics, but after playing a while I quite like the new look. Confusing and bizarre at first but you get used to it "after playing a while" is a problematic state. Many prospective buyers will...

Right, but even a humble peasant is still allowed to have an opinion in our society (assuming you live in a democracy, you could be Russian for all I know I guess). So what are your thoughts on Mr. YouTube's play through?

sometimes i really find it hard to understand your posts and points, but looking through the whole series of them, you seem to have issues and opinions of dislikes but continue to post regardless, each time you get a post like this, it's nearer and closer to getting a warning, as tbh, while your op...

Re: Germans always lose

In PC 1 Germans always end up retreating back to Germany. I found this despite getting a small win at Stalingrad. Does this still happen in PC 2 or can Germany actually win the war. If not, then what is the point of this game. Yes, in Panzer Corps 2 the germans can win the war. But then again, in P...

Re: If the German’s had won at the Bulge,,,,,,

what was the point? You could ask this question of any and all German actions during WW2. The British empire was invulnerable as its navy was massively superior to the German one and its economy was far larger. Throw in the USSR and the USA and the Allied economy was several times larger. In the ci...

Re: Apollo and Briefings

I liked those briefings myself, they feel like a nice detail for both immersion and fun. Of course, I like both reading and military history... but doesn't the whole target audience of PzC2 like those, too?.. And that Apollo dude... let's just not defile this forums by discussing his way of playing...

Re: Any decent youtubers previewing PzC2?

I'm being corrected. Apparently Apollo was NOT playing on DEFAULT difficulty, he was playing on the lowest difficulty setting. So that explains a lot of why he was successful even with tactics that you found to be practically offensive. My mistake. I'm fine with the default being pretty easy, but w...

Re: Mac? iPad?

Anything new about a possible port to Mac/iPad? As I said before, this is publisher's decision. Here is a recent statement from them which I think makes a Mac port very unlikely to happen: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1072040/discussions/0/3047183177934220969/#c3047183177935251032 Thanks for the ...

Re: Maps seem a bit flat

That's unavoidable. It's a consequence of using 3D. In 2D, your mind just suspends disbelief. In 3D, your mind asks why the mountains are flat, why the tanks are bigger than submarines, and so on. The icky feeling of 3D is why the 3D movie fad ended- it's been years since I've had to don the 3D glas...

your views and opinions are groundless, one sided and incorrect, but that's your choice and opinion tbh and call to make, so in a free world, carry on the rant it's everyone ones fault other than Apple, strange how the larger part / percentage of the rest of the board and world disagree It's actual...

Re: Mac? iPad?

Will there be a Mac/ iPad Version? It may be for the best not to. The Mac version of PzC is riddled with bugs and won't boot on Catalina despite being less than three years old. The iPad version doesn't support screen sizes larger than the original iPad. It is better not to do something than do it ...

Re: Apollo and Briefings

That's harsh. No, it's not harsh at all, it's actually quite kind. I really, really, wanted to learn about the gameplay but had to turn it off half hour in. He simply wasn't knowledgeable about either PzC or PzC2 which means he couldn't demonstrate the new gameplay mechanics. The video was ...

Re: When?

20-25 year olds weren't old at all, they were still young ones, just like today. If you were lucky enough to make it past childhood, you had good chances to reach 40 or 50, and still pretty solid ones to reach 60 or 70. You make some good points, but this isn't one of them. The perception of a 25 y...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Progress Update & AAR

I did not split units ever, because I maxed out my CORE size at 55/55. Interesting. I wonder if unit splitting is going to be one of those cool ideas that gets nerfed to the point of being basically useless except in one or two scenarios designed specifically for it. Like bridging engineers, rail, ...

Riiight. And Gazala was....what? All due to Rommel? The Val D'Aosta campaign was...what? All due to the tripline of German forces mixed in with the RSI? And the fact that Giovanni Messe had to salvage Rommel's foolhardy offensives in Tunisia is what? You're missing the forest for the trees here. Th...

Re: Better Italians in PzC2?

Sorry proline, but I have to chew you out on several points. You spend a great deal of time explaining that the Italians had excuses for their many, many failures. I don't dispute that. Every losing army has excuses. But that doesn't change the fact that when you've got excuses for everything, at s...
