Re: FOGAM3

2) Reduce the number and effectiveness of skirmishers (LF and LH) that are currently only used to bump up the army size with little risk of being lost. Skirmishers will always have a role, we'll be trying to limit that role to something more historical. What will happen to all-skirmisher armies? Li...

Re: Trouble getting a decent arab list

I came up with a Fanatic Berber list, what do you think? 1x IC 3x TC 2x LF Bow [6 bases] 1x LF Poor Slingers [8 bases] 6x LH Jav LS [4 bases, one 6 bases] 1x KN Sup, HArm [4 bases] 1x MF Prot, Sup, OffSp [6 bases] 1x MF Unprot, Bow [8 bases] 2x HF Prot, Av, DefSp [8 bases] 1x HF Prot, Sup, DefSp [8 ...

Re: Trouble getting a decent arab list

Hi Graham, thanks for your answer. What you describe is what I experienced with the army. I never felt I had a target for the HF, enemy HF were better, best practice was to let knights charge them and hope the best. Probably not too unhistorical. :) Sadly I'm forced to take the LF rear ranks in the ...

Trouble getting a decent arab list

Hi guys, I tinkered around with various Arab army lists but it seems I can get no good army out of them. Some time ago I started to paint a Fatimid army and most of the infantry is done. I once borrowed me some cavalry and got them to a (themed!) tournament where I was thoroughly wipped. I plan to a...

Re: Elephants and Commanders

Can I model commanders on elephants even if it is not proposed in the army lists?

At least it states "should depicted", not "must depicted". And I'm getting downsides, too (can't affect mounted BGs AFAIR).

Re: V2 Printed proof approved!

Sorry that I expected at least the same quality as v1 for this price. As said before, if this is the quality of the print and it can't be better, then it's a little bit sad but okay. I just thought I had received a bad copy which was possible, wasn't it? At least I got some answers from you if not f...

Re: V2 Printed proof approved!

If, depending on light in a room, one cannot easily read texts because these are coloured similar as the background, then I see it as a problem.
Obviously others received copies without that problem. All I want is the same.

Re: V2 Printed proof approved!

Anyone interested in this? :? I forgot to mention that I have part of an image missing: http://i1003.photobucket.com/albums/af155/Grunza82/P1030336_zps35fcf0b3.jpg Here you can see the blue shade in the text. Unfortunately the picture somewhat mitigates the effect. In reality it's worse... h...

Re: V2 Printed proof approved!

Hi guys, before I come to my original concern I want to say that I was very annoyed when I learned that v2 would be digital only and that I was even more thankful when I learned that you made it possible for people like me lacking the appropriate hardware to get a paper copy of the rules. I never co...

I would have expected sturdy ponies. These horses are a bit too gracile for my taste. And I don't like the waist of the riders. Seems as the join does not really fit all the time.

Deployment on 5'x3'

What deployment zones do you use with 600 points on 5'x3' tables?

The normal ones are too close to each other with charging LF on the first turn.
But using the same distances as on 6'x4' doesn't make up for a faster start.
Anything in between?

Corvus Belli is one of the more expensive manufacturers, 3,50€ for a pack I think.
Sizewise they mix up very good with OG.

Zone of Interception

Last weekend the following question came up: Can the HF intercept the LH, which is declaring a charge on a (invisible) BG to the south? The terrain is rough terrain. In Germany this would have been commonly ruled that it cannot with the simple explanation "a interception cannot go through disor...
