Re: Has anyone tried Zuzzy's Terrain mats?

I have several of the Zuzzy game mats and they are very cool looking - when u drybrush them - the effect is great --rool em up and carry them around - again GREAT - BUT moving stands on the terrain is tricky - they do NOT slide well at all - You can buy a smaller on at the 24 inch size and try it fa...

Re: Can I use a 60x50mm Cavalry base without being Ostracise

I find that most FOG gamers at the tournaments are great people and will not beat you up too bad I think the thin Litko bases might be a better bet for accuracy - and they are only 1mm thick - I go to a local metal shop that cuts ductwork for my company and they cut metal to the correct size for me ...

Re: Using impetus style scenic bases for FOG

One of the gamers in our Club here in Chicago - the Lost Command - is playing Imputus - he based his figs per Imputus style BUT keep the 60mm wide bases just like regular FOG or DBM and just made four bases per Imputus stand - then I made him some metal bases 120mm wide by 60mm or 80mm deep to put h...

I think that the bigger shields for the 25/28mm figs can be quite a pain but I use a sharp scalpel as well and it is usually okay - the smaller ones for 15mm seem to work just fine

I LOVE the suggestion from RavenFlight - fantastic I would suggest at least painting the MDF on both sides - it will keep it "cleaner" and somewhat keep it from flaking on the edges then at least you can game with it - if you use a brown or a nice field drab green paint -- or better yet br...

Litko here in the states sells all of the appropriate sizes of bases in at least three different thickness and also sells the magnets of several kinds to go with them as well. gale force nine also sells GREAT bases - I would guess that there has to be someone "down under" who sells the sam...

Very nice
I do something similar - BUT I like to mix some brown paint into the base medium - I can stand to fight that white base color and I HATE it when a stinking WHITE spot of color "jumps" out at me later on - when I think I am done

Great job

I useed toothpicks for my 15mm - but I like the idea of barbeque spits for 25/28mm ones - just take a base and after cutting the pieces to the right length - spread some liquitex artist medium or other appropriate putty like material on the base - stick in your cut spikes and let them dry - after th...

these mirlitons would be my fav if they were not as small. Legio heroica are big ones, they can't mix well with small figs
If this is the case, I would simply use Legio Heroica MUS31, a good armored infanantry.

Re: The joy of a wet pallete

I have just discovered the joy of a wet pallete. Found mention of it in http://irregularmagazine.com/ and then had to get a friend to run me through it. I have a plastic cotainer with an airtight lid (tuppa wear), filled it about 3/4 full with layers of dish washing sponge, filled that about 2/3 wi...

I am pretty sure it is from JR minatures

I am not sure if it is still made or not

There was an earlier version that was ceramic but smaller
This looks to me like the newer one made out of resin
