Re: Adding New Terrain Type
Looks good. I never did anything to this image, but I think it is very useful for others using the new terrain type. Are the images with "2" new terrain types in the works?

Re: Adding New Terrain Type
I think you are right. The game was not designed with expectations that players would be tweaking things like terrain and transport. Still, I am surprised at how much can be changed under the hood. It's a probably the reason PzC has been my favorite game all these years. The transport hiccup wouldn'...

Re: Adding New Terrain Type
Hi Guille, I did a quick test using my modified jungle terrain (it currently acts as "small city/town"). I gave it all the traits of a city and airfield in the terrain file's entry. Everything seems to work as you would hope except for one somewhat minor thing. When I tried to embark a ground unit t...

Re: Adding New Terrain Type
Hi Guille and cw58, It's been a while since I was on the forum and thought I'd see what's new. Glad to see Scenario Design is still alive and well. I never did get new terrain entries to work, but I didn't experiment all that much either. Someone posted a while back that altering the stats for an ex...

Thanks dalfrede!
Knowing that, it works just fine now.

Question about unique trait in unit parameters
Hi everyone, I'm wondering about the unique trait in unit parameters window of the scenario editor. Does anyone know how it functions? the description reads "if an auxiliary unit is destroyed, it will not appear in the subsequent scenarios". Not sure if I'm interpreting it correctly but I take this ...

Re: Some random units if anyone wants them
I don't think I've seen an icon for a 251/17 Ausf D so I thought I'd have a go.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.
No, I could not install Audacity in my PC because it kept saying that there was one .dll file missing... I made those sound effects with good, old, trusty Oceanaudio... :-) I completely forgot about just zipping the file and posting it directly. Anyway, great work on the sound file! Now I may have ...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.
I was able to come with a new sound file (a first try) but I will have to figure out a way to upload it over the weekend...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.
From the top of my mind... When in its "infantry" mode, I would give a marching sound to such unit. If I could, I would mix the marching sound with a lower volume, second plane motor vehicle sound, but this is beyond my limited sound file editing skills... :-( If I have a little time over the weeke...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.
I personally haven’t used a unit like this yet so I’m curious to know what movement efx sound you gave them, a marching sound or a tracked vehicle sound? Maybe tracked vehicle?

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and more.
Nice Pz Grenadier icon. I hadn't thought to use a smaller half-track with regular sized inf. I did the opposite, but having seen this one, I prefer the regular sized inf with the scaled down transport.

Re: Units change sides
Interesting. Thanks for letting me know about that. I still haven't played all the way through Soviet Corps or I would've noticed that. I did toy around with converting hexes to new terrain type in the editor a while back but I forgot how. I remember it being a tedious process, resulting in a lot of...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9
Enhancing the original PzC's more conventional strategic bombing aspects in PzC 2 would be more compelling for game play-ability IMHO, although I can't argue with the historical significance of the a-bomb. I mentioned atomic bombs only in the context of how to make USA East a bit better. Whether th...

Re: Really liked the reconnaissance system of People’s general
I believe it’s not a over complicated system, and it’s much more flexible and fun, and it can make recons much more relevant. Because if you send your tigers alone to attack an enemy, the poor sight of them may mean that you don’t know exactly what you are attacking even when you are right next to ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #9
If anything like this were implemented in a scenario, I'm wondering how it would work. Fw 200s or Me 264s flying from Spain or France would require a pretty large map. I am still hoping the devs can get things streamlined enough so larger maps play at a reasonable rate, but as Rudankort mentioned in...

Re: Can you help me with the scenario editor
Are you planning to use the AI in the attacker or defender role? I have found that the AI are easier to script in the defender role but I've noticed there are a couple ways to keep attacking AI from doing stupid things. Scripting attackers and play testing does take some time though.

Re: Can you help me with the scenario editor
@Maguro Thank you very much ! I thought that the several behaviours make the units doing slightly different but apparently as you said above only "defend active", "move to" and default are useful. The "defend passive" is (I imagine) leads the unit to wait in place till elimination and only return f...
