Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
It would be like a player of a miniatures game redoing a move or turn. It is strictly forbidden unless your opponent says it is okay. It's not like that at all. This example is of a situation where the player makes a move and then decides to make anothe rmove. It is intentional. The situation we're...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
There is no adjudication by yourself Pete. Regardless of the reason for a download it gives that player an advantage which the game was not designed with the intention of. Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
I'm in the camp of MikeC. Just allow instances of reloading to be included in the pop-up dialog at the start of your turn. Shift the onus onto the player to explain the reasoning. By having the info on whether a redownload occurred or not a player will be able to analyze the replay for the frequency...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
Yeah it completely eliminates the concern of redoing turns and encourages the use of a tactical reserve. For me it also makes you feel like a commander who needs to make tough choices based on imperfect information. Do I delay one turn an assault to see if the current turn plays out as hoped or hold...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
To be honest one of the things that I love about Pike & Shot are the melees being conducted between player turns in a random order. My dream would be that FOG2 and Pike & Shot would conduct all combat between player turns. When you launch an impact attack it doesn't resolve until all movement is fin...

Dang I just noticed that dkalenda beat Nosy and Pompey. Reversing their results has narrowed my chances!!! Can I get a bonus 4 points for beating dkalenda

Re: Larger armies right across the FOG2 Digital League?
To be honest I think someone who prefers playing large battles is more likely to acquiesce with being required to play mid size rather than vice versa. Setting large as the default would probably cause some player attrition while medium would not. Also for players that perceive the size of the battl...

Re: dkalenda has been expelled from the tournament for multiple re-loading of turns during his matches . . .
I thought if you redid your turn all the results were the same. The benefit came from resequencing. For example I win the first combat roll but lose the next one so I choose to do the second combat first because that is more important to win. Am I confusing this with FOG1 when the game used d6's? I ...

Re: Larger armies right across the FOG2 Digital League?
The system works as I tried it out when I was running the Caracole tournaments in Pike & Shot. I allowed players to opt for their preferred battle size and there were no complaints or arguments.

Re: Larger armies right across the FOG2 Digital League?
Can I just point out that shifting a match to large proportionally increases the map size, increases points, increases the min/max of unit types and I think provides a second general with a command radius equal to the CinC. Ostensibly this means everything is the same as a medium size battle except ...

Re: The Rally Point (discussion, questions and some highbrow philosophising)
I concur with MikeC_8. When handling the LOEG I simply voided all results and removed the player from the group. In this way it has no impact on relegation or promotion for those that played out all their matches. In the case of Elrawen you could still tabulate his matches awarding unplayed games as...
