Re: Possible path-finding issue?

I did move it diagonally one square forward, but then the game told me this unit has no more action points, so the charge was not possible anyway. I guess that was because of the cost of entering difficult terrain? Ah yes, diagonally that would be 12, and they already used 6 to move the first squar...

Re: Possible path-finding issue?

The pathfinding is done by the engine, and it picks what it picks, rather than the best move for the player. If terrain is involved, the engine's pathfinding can be a bit odd. In this case it is trying to avoid a diagonal move into difficult terrain. The engine path-finding routines know nothing abo...

Re: Random map selection.

Pete answered this to my query: Where the armies have different home map sets, the game will use the highest priority map set in the following list (highest to lowest): Tropical, Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Middle East, Steppe, Desert." The "Pot Luck" element determines whether the terrain is A...

Re: Pike and Shot freezing on initial loading

I followed your advice, deleted all of them and then installed about a dozen scenarios. It seems to be working fine now. Perhaps I was just trying to add too much all at once the first time I accessed a new install of the game. I think there are too many available user content scenarios for the eng...

Re: Pike and Shot freezing on initial loading

This is not something that has been reported before, so we don't have a ready solution. However, perhaps the game is struggling with so many downloaded scenarios. Try deleting them (from Documents/MY GAMES/PSCAMP/CAMPAIGNS if you are using Pike and Shot: Campaigns rather than the earlier non-campaig...

Hello i have a friendly game with victory RPG , the game says me i won at 17% of the opponent replay , then it says game does not load to server
Probably the file has become corrupted. Unfortunately that does occasionally happen, and it is unlikely that anything can be done about it.

I think I know the answer but just to clarify do you need to own the DLC to join the tournament ?
No, you don’t.

Re: Rules changes

Longbowmen take a whole turn to place stakes. There are good reason why you might sometimes not want to do so immediately, so there is scope for being caught without. So this will remain a decision taken by the English side, not an inability (to use stakes) imposed by the surprise. That said (due t...

While I am here I just want to thank RBS for creating an excellent rendition of a Tabletop Game to PC in Fog2 & FogM. I've been a long time Tabletop gamer. (DBM,DBA,Fog, & now Triumph!) and this for me 'ticks all the boxes' as a PC Ancients simulation.
Thanks.

Re: Rules changes

Well they could just turn round again. I had in mind for the Ambushed orders of march that wouldn't lead to the vanilla frontal deployment of the two armies in case of a simple 180° rotation of each of its units, such as a plain 'Knights at the rearguard (thus attacked first), infantry in the middl...

OK, thanks. So it would not be enough with all remaining 16 AP to fall back? It requires to not having done any movement at all?
That is correct.

Re: Fall back vs no fall back?

The banner gets shaded darker after you take any action with the unit. Hence you have already taken an action with that unit, and the only action that would not cost any AP and would still allow any movement would have been a free 45 degree turn. Fall Backs are not possible after a unit has taken an...

Also field fortifications - which aren't used much in the base game, but will be used increasingly in the later part of the period, along with stakes for longbowmen in the second half of the 100 Years War. 1) Battles like Agincourt showed that, under favourable conditions (a defensive terrain, time...

Re: Standard Wagons impact on % lost

The Standard Wagon is treated as equivalent to 4 standard-sized infantry units for rout % calculations. So its actual effect on % losses depends on the overall size of the army.
