Re: New FOG2 DLC?
IIRC 'Swifter Than Eagles' was recently seen in a screenshot of a likely suspect ( ) so Biblical may be next. I'd prefer Mediaeval but such is life. I would also guess that DLCs will be the same as the FoG Tabletop/FoG I releases in terms of content. Happy to be proved wrong.

Re: elephant quality
You need to screen your elephants before contact, then they can be astonishingly destructive. Average seems OK to me.

Re: Should pikemen be exempt from anarchy rules in the mod?
I'll start by saying that I don't really have a dog in this fight but did sometimes enjoy the anarchy-prone armies in FoG1; that frisson of fear and excitement as your army got to the point where it may just self-destruct :) Genuine open question: by tying unexpected/unauthorised charges up in a lot...

Double Cohesion Drops
I've not played much FOG for a couple of years but have restarted recently. Have any new modifiers been introduced that would increase the likehood of a double drop? It could just be that I'm seeing a statistical bump at the moment but they are happening a lot, both giving and receiving.

Re: Spam Armies
Right but they are allies it is not a Numidian army that I am facing! It is a Carthaginian army with Numidian allies... The Numidian list allows for up to 17 Javelin LH so having an allied contingent of 5 or 6 doesn't seem unreasonable, unhistorical or gamey to me, unless you are choosing to define...

Re: Spam Armies
The Numidians' deployment of masses of light javelin horse is historical... though probably not enjoyable to be on the receiving end of, especially if you don't have the right army composition to deal with. It's the same thing as fighting Parthians, really. Right but they are allies it is not a Num...

Re: Simulation Mode
can I get more details on 3? Are anarchy charges like uncontrollable charges from impetuous units? Certain units (knights, shock cavalry and various hairy barbarians) would have to pass a test not to charge a valid target in charge range on the player's turn. It made for interesting tactical decisi...

Yep. It seems we have got as many interested as is going to happen, so it's army choosing time! There are no limits on army selection so choose whatever you want from the list. I'll be trying my luck with the later Scots-Irish list.

Rex Britannorum
With the advent of the Age of Belisarius, there are some fun lists for the British Isles. Is anyone one interested in a simple, casual, everyone-plays-everyone tournament/campaign thing for bragging rights as King (or Queen) of the Britons? Available armies are: Anglo-Saxon 449 - 599AD Pictish 210 -...

Re: Rise of the AI - Rallying rigged?
Thanks for the replies. Having seen (and been guilty of) confirmation bias I try to be a bit more objective - I was monitoring ‘good’ events as well :) You have both hit the nail on the head and my only defence is I was tired and not thinking it through: as the potential subject group increases, so ...

Rise of the AI - Rallying rigged?
After a bit of a break I've been FoGging again for the last few days, practising against the Rise of the AI mod. I don't know whether it's just a statistical anomaly but, in the last 5 or 6 games, when I've got the AI to ~40% and I am 15% or less, it rallies like you wouldn't believe - in one case, ...

Re: Automatic pursuit is not accurate
I've endured your snarkiness before so I am not surprised by this comment. Considering you are a proponent of having this game play like chess, isn't that like throwing rocks in a glass house? I didn't make the movement system. To be honest units should be moving in small cohort of troops not indiv...

Re: Romanes Eunt Domus! Matches & Results
Hello all you lovely people and apologies for my absence. Work has been much more manic than expected (being sent abroad more often than I expected) so I'm getting little time to play, let alone run a tournament. I'm now going to be out of the loop until the beginning of March at the earliest. So, r...
