Re: LoS penalty doubled

Hi, tycoon! Were you trying to suppressive fire? The rules of suppressive fire state that any bonus of the attacker (positive or negative) must be doubled. This means -6 becomes -12! Actually, that is not quite right. This is going to be very "inside baseball", but Suppressive fire is one of the mo...

That is not a rule in the boardgame. Do you have a reference for that?

Re: Bug

See the big red text on screen. Your line of sight is blocked :) The building Hanz is in is blocking you. He is TRYING to target the building, not the unit. Apparently there is a but such that a player can destroy a building if no one is in it, but cannot target the building if a unit is inside. In...

Re: Multiplayer

At least both Steam and non-Steam users are now on 1.06. That should help.

Still have a "finished" game in my game queue thought. Completed the 5 turns, got an email saying it was over, but still have the game in my queue showing "Waiting for Opponent".

Re: Board Game vs PC

• Limited number of recruitment options (less 'upgrades', less base tiles...note that the PC game is probably about on par with the core set for HoN but there is a LOT more content out there for variety down the road) I don't think this is a point where the PC game differs from the board game, I th...

Re: Board Game vs PC

One thing I did forget to mention is that suppression fire is different in the PC game. In the board game, you can split the suppression among different targets, not in the PC version. That can be a big deal in the board game as you can put suppression on a couple units as you provide cover fire to...

Re: Bug

strange it seems that I have version 1.03. I bought the game an steam and have steam keep the game updated. You are assuming that Slitherine is not running 2 different build trees (or at least managing the downloads separately). That is incorrect. I have been unable to finish a couple of multiplaye...

I will keep an eye out and see if it happens again.

It was the first Challenge Map (Home Alone)

large Vehicle shooting

There appears to be a variation in how large vehicles target an enemy unit. In the original HoN board game, the rules for shooting from a long (2 space) vehicle is: Whenever a two-space vehicle targets a unit, it can choose the center of either of its spaces as the starting point of its LoS. Vehicle...

Request: Oddball, Positive Waves and damage rolls

Some feedback on Oddball's Positive Waves ability. You should let the player choose the roll, which matches the original rule. In general, a lower number is better (which is what the game currently auto-chooses), however, in a scenario such as Scenario 1 of the main US campaign, I would rather take ...

Love the PC version, but really want this on Android so I can play this on my tablet!

Kudos on the fast response to scenario bugs and such. Much appreciated.

Refinements to the Multiplayer

I do not mind the sort of "play by update" nature of the multiplayer for HoN. It actually works pretty well for me as some of my opponents are in very different time zones and it allows us to play when it is convenient. But the list of challenges was getting long and there did not seem to be much in...

Re: ABOUT THE DICE ROLLS

Instead of offering the anti-streak option offered above, which breaks the very mathematical meaning of *RND (theory of large numbers included), it might be better to offer an option of increasing the base statistical values of the units so that the dice rolls become less important. For me, however...

Re: ABOUT THE DICE ROLLS

The game does not cheat but clearly people dont understand probability so we have to do something about it. Apparently this is very true. Having played the board game version for over a year, I find the rolls here just as random as any other game of HoN. That does not mean I do not harbor in my hea...

End of Challenge

I participated in a Challenge (Home Alone) issues by another player -- it was an open challenge. We played out the 4 turns and he won. I got an email saying the game is over, but the game is still showing as "Waiting for other Player". Does he have to review the game before I can? When will it disap...

Re: Suggestion for the UI / displaying chits

Thanks, WAGinWNY. If you look at the right side bar, on the image displaying the current unit, there's a green button that opens a popup window explaining what the stats mean. We don't show this popup in the tutorial, and that's clearly a mistake. We're going to make sure the players clearly know t...

Re: Not Enough Content for $20

I cannot say I agree with the sentiment, but I must have had a different experience. Of course part of that is that I play the physical game and have a number of online folks I can play in challenges, which likely has colored my view. I think it is a great game for $20, considering I often get half ...

Re: Panzer Girl Rogue poster...

Hopefully this is not against the rules...

You can buy a physical copy from the Devil Pig Games store (they are the original IP creators):
http://www.devil-pig-games.com/en/produ ... poster-n1/ You will have to create an account, I think.
