Naval Battle Airpower Efficiency

I am trying to put together a purely naval scenario, and despite having plenty of fuel, the aircraft in the scenario begin losing efficiency as if they were out of supply. Some of the carriers are being hit by strategic bombers. Would this cause the (already airborne) air units to lose supply? What ...

Re: German player purchasing French tanks?

I tried a french tank and regretted it. Limited Replacements trait made it better off if I had just bought another Panzer iii. :(

Re: Slogkrieg

I had the same crisis in the SE!

Luckily I had a good resource reserve and was able to purchase an infantry unit to hold things down. I scrambled all my stukas to help, and managed to get a para unit down there pretty quick to turn the russians back.

Re: Dunkirk

Oh yes, because chasing down the last french recon car adds so much challenge and excitement to the game. A true enhancement indeed!

Re: Slogkrieg

Holy crap, nobody is complaining about the difficulty. People are beating the scenarios just fine- using a methodical slog.

Re: Slogkrieg

I don't think anybody (in this thread) is claiming that it is too difficult. What they are claiming is that it just isn't fun or innovative. By and large, you tackle everything in this expansion the same exact way you tackle everything in every other expansion. Methodically slog through it. Anything...

Re: Slogkrieg

Too often you encounter a big group of enemy units, set up a holding force to engage them, and bring a flanking force around to cut them off (leaving units to prevent them simply breaking out and cutting off your flanking force). Only to have *another* big group of enemy units come over and hit your...

Re: Kiev - this is a bit ridiculous

Agreed, please get riding of "Kill XX Units" Objectives. It totally kills immersion when you execute a great plan, then have to disperse units everywhere to find a stray enemy hiding somewhere completely away and irrelevant to the battle the scenario depicts. Getting a loss because of it is even wor...

Re: Some thoughts on Blitzkrieg

I really like my ground recon unit. Of course I use it more as a cheap unit to chase down routing enemies.

All my recon is done with 109's for the most part.

Re: Thumbs Up To Blitzkrieg!!

I just did it and Holy cow. I managed to secure air superiority, and that made a world of difference. Had my stukas take out russian artillery and wear down their tanks. I took two of the objectives really quickly because I had massed all of my forces in the north. After the counterattacks petered o...

Re: Thumbs Up To Blitzkrieg!!

I've got that one next. Just completed the encirclement of Kiev by linking the three towns and the russians are trying to break out.

Anything awaiting me at moscow that I should start planning for now?

Re: Order of Battle: the new Specialization System

On the objective screen it shows five specialization "slots". If I pick up a sixth will it replace one that I already have, or will I get the benefit of all of them, despite only five shown on that screen?

Re: Dunkirk

I just captured Oostend with paratroops to knock Belgium out of the war early and then threw everything I had at the british and french. Then I deployed Stukas at Oostend to take out the destroyers and transports. Taking out transport ships reduced the number of units I had to destroy, so it was "co...
