Re: Attack! 2022

Thanks for the amendment of the 2 deadline dates! I am looking forward to potentially getting my Poles out for this - with it being an 820 point event, there is a better chance of a balanced force once you've paid for the compulsory Hussars (@ c.20 points a base) that makes them a bit expensive in a...

Re: Attack! 2022

Bob Good news Attack is on the calendar for 2022! Can you clarify these dates please - as they all look wrong! Closing date for entries will be Friday 26th June 2021 – this might be extended by a week but down to the Devizes & District Wargames Group List checker: – TBC- List should be submitted...

Re: FOG-R 2021

Just got an email from the Warfare 2021 tournaments team that due to only 5 advance ticket purchases for the event at Ascot on 27/28 Nov, they are cancelling the FoG-R competition. David (B)

Re: Oxford Sunday FOGR tournaments for 2021

Maybe I will have to look at acquiring a Swiss army then!

Any decision on refining the Northern Mists eligible armies?

Thanks

Re: Oxford Sunday FOGR tournaments for 2021

I guess that was to be expected! I agree to keep the ECW session, but would prefer to see Eastern Front retained in preference to Northern Mists (unless we can narrow the army lists as per my previous posts on the topic in this thread). thanks David (B)

Re: Oxford Sunday FOGR tournaments for 2021

Disappointed not to now be able to make the first date (11 July) of the new campaigning season....currently able to make the other 3. Hopefully someone can take the slot. David (B)

Re: Oxford Sunday FOGR tournaments for 2021

thanks Tom I was thinking about Ottomans or Eastern Hapsburgs or possibly Poles for the Eastern Front round as I have all 3 armies. The Poles could also be used for the Northern Mists, or I could use my TYW Swedes; but there seems to be a very wide choice across the Army Lists/time periods - maybe i...

Re: Oxford Sunday FOGR tournaments for 2021

Tom

I am just thinking about the round 3 and 4 period suggestions:-

October 10: Eastern front, Turks and any army they fought, any date
December 12: Northern mists, any army any date that has a Baltic coast.

Do you have a list of qualifying armies for these?

regards
David

Re: Oxford club dates for 2021 including 4 FOGR events

Good to see the prospect of some gaming at the OWS after such a long layoff. Can you say some more about the ReG sessions and being 2 day events? And are the Sundays booked for FOG-R only going to have FOG-R on in the hall those days?

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 11 October 2020

Looking at the exit from lock-down timetable; at best we can hope for half a year of campaigning in F2F fashion; there is no news from Tom yet on even a putative timetable of FOG-R OWS events, so I am amortizing the costs as though it was a years worth! Hopefully see you at something sometime (will ...

Re: FOG-R 2021

So the first casualty of the 2021 campaigning season has been announced! Just heard from Andy Walpole, Event Manager @ The South Wales Gaming Centre that Godendag 2021 is cancelled - no word on whether it is to be re-arranged to a later date, but as I have also received a refund of my entry fee, I a...

FOG-R 2021

Hi All What a year it has been, I only managed a couple of rounds of FOG-R all year and re-basing my old armies to FOG-R has not been an entirely satisfactory substitute for the comradeship of face-to-face game-play. Is it tempting providence to start thinking about FOG-R competition rounds (at OWS ...

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 11 October 2020

Hopefully, in 2021, we can start to look to a tentative list of OWS Sunday dates and consider restarting FOG-R competition rounds and not have to wait until the spring/summer due to outdoor only permissions!

Season's Greetings to all!

Re: FoGR tournament in Sutton in Ashfield - Sat Sep 5th 2020

Hi Trev I really enjoyed my trip to Polly Bowls earlier this year (one of the few outings all year!) and so would be good to do one again if you are prepared to organise! I have Godendag 2021 in the calendar for 16-17 Jan; and that is likely to be the only event I will manage to get to in Jan - assu...

Re: Oxford 1 Day Event - 11 October 2020

Hi Tom

Under the circumstances, I too am going to have to pass and withdraw my entry for the competition.

I realize you have tried very hard to keep all the options going, and that is much appreciated.

Hopefully we will have more favourable gaming conditions in the new year!

regards
