I've had this confirmed by Freeverse. I don't really understand why but this is sad news. We're happy to run the Mac forums here. Feel free to let the Mac players know they have a home here! Freeverse was purchased by Ngmoco. Ngmoco is an iPhone/iPad exclusive gaming company. I bet this has somethi...

CEaW: Mac version

Just a thread for those playing CEaW on the Mac. Freeverse has closed their forums, so Mac players have lost that community. One thing I'd like to see is the Grand Strategy mod for the Mac game. I know a beta once existed, but it has expired.

Will there be mechanisms in place to provide some historical elements, such as the static Western Front? Or, will fronts e as dynamic as the player can make them?

Mac Publisher

Have you guys secured a Mac publisher yet? Freeverse did a fine job with the previous Commander games. They've since been bought by a company (?) that publishes iPhone games exclusively. And, Freeverse has been pretty much dedicated to the iPhone for some time now. Anyway,...looking forward to heari...

I'll definitely grab copies for my iPod touch and DS. My 8-year old is getting into the empire strategy games more and more these days. He's killin' Age of Mythologies.

GS Mod Problem

I've followed the install guidelines, but I seem to be missing a java.exe - as that is the message I get when opening the Gold Grand Strategy mod shortcut. Any ideas?

I just installed the PC version of CEaW again. Do I need any other upgrade before applying the Grand Strategy (1.12) v1.02 mod?

Does this mean if my school did a wipe of my HD, losing my original download of CEAW, I can now get it? Would my account show a record of it? I was on the testing team. ::hope and pray:: :)

The DS version is perfect, don't sell it. For mobile gaming, this is one special game. I agree, the desktop version offers much more - love it on my iMac.
