I'm not sure who is included in your "we". I find the FoG lists to be far superior. I used to be a very competitive DBM player. I could take a walk though the DBM lists and laugh at the number of hopeless armies one would never consider taking to a tournament. FoG armies are far more balanced. Even...

Re: Request for Beta rule by Friday

I am playing my first game against another rookie FoG player tomorrow and neither of us have read the rules. He has the FoG rulebook and three other books but I have none and have no way of contacting him before tomorrow. Is it possible for me to get the beta rules so I can learn some of the basics...

Havent there been lots of posts saying (and confirming) generals can be on any reasonable size base and one of any shape, even round, so in that case he can never be lined up edge to edge, corner to corner! So it must be true that to count as with a BG he only has to be touching it? Martin Well i a...

The commanders base is just a marker, if it is in the way it is moved, the same as when he is placed in the front rank the BG does not actually get deeper and he is not counted for BG size (dimensions). The size of his base only matters for command radius, not getting through gaps, providing there ...

The general moves to the BG in question. It can interpenetrate straight through. It has no distance issues as it isn't a battlegroup and the section of that is for battlegroups - which as Terry says solves any issues with restraticed areas as well. So if it can enter a friendly BG it can always exi...

There may be a slight weakness with this mechanism. My LF BG is in combat with an enemy LF BG. My opponent brings up a LH BG as an overlap in the movement phase. In my turn I wish to reinforce the melee but the only way I can do so is to charge the enemey LH. The LH evade - I charge after them - an...

25% losses

When do you count the 25% losses, when taking a cohesion test. I know how player`s have been doing it but can not fine any reference in the rules. (i.e when a 4 element BG loses a base in Impact phase and has to test it does not count the 25% loss minus 1 that test. But in the melee phase were the BG...

Re: Points Question

Hi All, I was just curious, when you play an 800 point game or any point amount for that matter what is the upper limit allowed? Is it 800 points, no higher? 797, 789 etc, or can you go over slightly 802, 809? When people play in non tournament games, do you agree to be close to 800 points? What do...
