Haha, do it! A chart that calculates when automatic fire is more effective at destroying the enemy and when not.

And yes, I do love these things :)

All right. Lets get down to business! Automatic fire fires, as you might have noticed, more rounds. How many more rounds a wepaon fires with automatic fire then with single fire can be read from its stats. Most automatic weapons fires 3 rounds with single fire and 5-6 rounds with automatic. HMGs fir...

Ye, bazookas can be used like semi-artillery when fired upon bunched up enemy squads. You might even kill friendly squads if you are too reckless. There were plans of adding on-field mortars before. We have them designed and even modelled somewhere I believe. There was some problems with making them...

It would of course be possible to fit a tank into the game's balance. It would however not really fit with the "skirmish level combat" that we aim for. We do not want full war confrontations. So so not expect tanks in the first version of TA. And also, tanks would add a rock-paper-scissor element to...

What Xerkis said :)

And to clarify; no, there's no experience gain in the game at the moment. You can make your squads war veterans etc when building them in the force builder (increasing the squad's cost of course), but no mid-combat promotions.

They last 2 rounds, ending in the same initiative phase they were thrown.

We decided not to include other forms of movement then advance and sprint as we tried to streamline the gameplay, trying to make TA as smooth to play as possible. Good that you liked the smoke grenades though! They have proven to be very useful when trying to capture Control Points etc.

No such plans. There were from the start, but we had to cut it because it is a lot of work, and we didn't think that player would want so sit and wait for 3 other players taking actions between their actions.

Ye, some weapons, like Snipers, have instead lowered accuracy in melee.

As I see it, it is either two ways to go with a (possible) sequel; either more grandiose with tanks, artillery and a bunch of other cool stuff OR focusing more on soldiers, adding RPG elements, character progression etc, more like Jagged Alliance, but WWII.

Nope, you can't. I suggest that if you're new to the game, go for low starting resources and victory score limit so that the game doesn't take too long if you are in a hurry or might have to leave within the hour. For us who are more familiar with the game by now, an ordinary game takes between 30 a...

Wow, you're digging deep :P Grenades can be thrown anywhere within range as an action. This can be used to attack positions where you suspect your enemy to be. Suppressing fire can't unfortunately not be directed at areas, only onto squads, for the moment. But I'm investigating the possibility to ha...

Yup, the combat areas would absolutely have to be bigger if we want to fit tanks and other vehicles into the game. And yes, tanks would be quite overwhelming in TA, but that could also be one of their main uses; tank shocking. Dealing morale damage to enemies upon encounter etc. What's most troubles...

And about hand-to-hand combat: We decided to have none, instead there is a melee accuracy bonus for weapons.
