Re: Couple questions

Well done Xerkis :) And about the Manual; I'm pretty sure we'll make it available to the public. We don't have any issues with stuff like that at all. The patch should be available any time soon. Next week or so (I'm not directly in charge of that). And I'll see if I can get the manual uploaded befo...

Re: Fog of war?

Yup, as Lillarpy said. We do not have FoW in the form as in many other games (a circle around your units, and that's how far they can see). Instead we only veil areas that are directly obstructed in fog of war - if you can draw line of sight to an area from any of your soldiers, you'll be able to se...

Re: Reinforcements question.

Yup. I think of Blitzkrieg as a good version of Annihilation - It's all about gaining total map control, but you don't have to do all the final annoying stuff :P Especially if one want to play with reinforcements. Annihilation has it's charm with playing without reinforcements. It can be extremely d...

Re: Team Assault Disciplines

Oh, Wer Veterans in first place. Nice. It's a neat discipline - especially if you're tired of getting your morale broken (and maybe especially by sniper fire). Myself I put battle-hardened in first place. The few defensive bonuses available are treasured highly to me. With battle-hardened, even ligh...

Re: Endless TA Game

Not good at all. This is very unfortunate. We'll look into it as good as we can, but it's hard when it happens at what appears to be at "random" (reason unknown). If it happens again please let us know, and if you can think of anything when it does was true for this scenarios as well please tell us!...

Re: Team Assault Wish List

Xerkis: Yes, Mortars and Artillery spotting is probably at the top of my personal wish list. I would probably want the mortars (and artillery) to have a 1 round delay though, unlike the grenades, making them less effective against advancing enemies (unless you read their move very well) but make a g...

Re: Proof is in the Numbers – AI Improvement

Interesting thread :D First of all to clarify about reaction fire rich; There is actually a reaction fire to enemy fire available (returning fire), but there is currently no way to make reactive fire on enemy movement - that's that a lot of players miss and that's not available in the game. The prin...

Re: Couple questions

I don't know if the videos can be easily bypassed, but feel free to experiment in how to achieve this. We didn't know it would be such an annoyance to some players, sorry :) If we get the time over, we might see if we can make it a setting in the config file or something like that, but no promises. ...

Re: Stealth Question

Oh, detailed game mechanics questions! :D A summary of how stealth works: Some Outfits provide stealth. If they do, they have a stealth value in its statistics (symbolized by an eye) - this is the outfits detection range (lower is better). Detection range is the number of meters the enemy has to be ...

Or, of course, another option is to remove all game setting combinations except those that we recommend - but that's not fun for anyone :P

Re: Reinforcements question.

To be honest, Annihilation with reinforcements available is pretty much a set-up for players that want to be able to keep on playing for ever. If you like games that come to an end (in not too long time), don't play annihilation. Play Area Control. Or possibly Annihilation without reinforcements (wh...

Re: Meaning of little icons?

Ye, I didn't want to use red for weak cover, since red seems to be something bad - and light cover is way better then none. Maybe could have gone for blur for the heavy cover instead though, green for medium and yellow for light. Will keep this in mind. If you have a hard time telling the colors apa...
