Overall strategy will be France-Norway/Denmark-Yugoslavia-Greece-Barbarossa. All research and builds will be targeted for that but objectives are subject to change along with the situation. Poland ended up being the usual two turn affair and nothing special there so no screenies. Deploying troops ba...

PionUrpo vs Kragdob (Allied spies at their own peril!)

Behold, yet another betaAAR! This is my second attempt at AARs, the 1st one was cut short due to opponent mysteriously vanishing. Unlike the previous one, hopefully this AAR will be completed. My opponent is a recent addition to the betagroup, Kragdob. I've been betatesting good while longer so I go...

I remember not so long ago we had someone saying very opposite that 2 air attacks per unit is to little and "unrealistic" and numerous bombers should destroy entire units with no problem :) Yeah, I remember that one too, was going to post exact same thing here :D Points out nicely how different thi...

Once German in Strategic Operations reaches lvl 1 I will then switch to a focus in dog fighting. If necessary I will use focus points in early 1941 to accelerate a slow moving armor or infantry tech in preparation for Barbarossa. Otherwise, I'm happy with my allocation. Ah, I don't tend to wait all...

Make Finland activate on German-Soviet War only?

Incase of Axis player delaying Barbarossa to '42 Finland still activates in Summer '41. Without a German-Soviet war this doesn't really make sense. Joining Germany in a war against the western democracies was never an option back then. So, unless this is a balance thing wrt '42 Barbarossa, could we ...

1. Amphibious capable units (inf, mech and armour) can perform contested landings in enemy occupied beach hexes within 10 hexes of range of a friendly sea port and they can perform normal landings (in empty enemy hexes) in any enemy beach hex all over the map. I agree, unopposed landings should sti...

The fact that Torch landings were directed and coordinated by Eisenhower from Gibraltar makes us think that this british air base had a significant importance in this operation. Read this quoted from this wikipedia page: One hundred thousand soldiers on the high seas in a multitude of transports co...

This is old version stuff I believe as Canada is already active from the start.
Finland will activate for the Germans on the turn USSR activates.
If USSR is not active Finns join on June 22nd turn (+/-1)

We must remember that Torch was possible because Gibraltar british base. So british and american landing fleets did not landed DIRECTLY in Casablanca and Oran from their respective embarking ports but they both converged in Gibraltar port and then they performed the landing operation. I have read t...

I like leridano's port idea. It would provide some sense on the amphib ops and as he said, a fixed (or yearly maybe) hex radius from a port is easy to remember so the rules wouldn't be complicated too much. Torch was pretty much the exception to prove the rule possible due to special circumstances i...

Can someone explain why my oil is down to 585? The only thing using oil has been the 3 fighters (and they've been repairing every other turn during the invasion of France) and the TAC. Assuming you've been rowing around with the ships to provide escort and used 3 (or 4, when was 3rd UK FTR built, b...

I don't think it would have been physically possible to construct bomb-proof underground sites (as they did for a lot of the V-2 production) for a German Manhattan Project. The isotope-separation (for uranium) and massive atomic piles (for plutonim production) facilities built at Oak Ridge and in E...

I don't know, it was far more likely for the USSR to enter the war in 1943. It wasn't ready in 1941 and it wouldn't be ready in 1942, either. Even Stalin knew that. Also, whether it would have joined the Allies is another matter. And yeah, you should change the text, because it's silly. Soviet entr...
