Remove the transfer of industry part from the text to make it look better? Not that it changes anything. The entire 'event' is a balance thing anyway. You could take the entire text box out as long as the effect, added war effort, remains.

The V-2 development program cost approximately 2 billion 1944 $. The cost of the Manhattan project was similar! Obviously, the Germans were much more advanced in rocketry than the Allies. No wonder why the Allies were trying to steal as much as they could from them... The reason they couldn't do a ...

A slot for one game has opened and an Allied (preferably, as I got less on-going Axis games) opponent required.
Default rules. Couple turns/day likely but at least one/day for (almost) sure.

EDIT/// No takers?

EDITEDIT///Nevermind, got the game going.

So, Staunffenberg, give me a piece of advice in regard to Barbarossa strategies in 1941. I'm talking about the 2.0 version, because other ones are unavailable for non-beta players. Hey, maybe we'll see it in what ever comes after 2.1 (GS will live on post-2.1, right Borger & Co.? I sure hope so) In...

They lacked resources for the bomb. They didn't even get their hands on heavy water plants in Norway, because Norwegian commandos sabotaged them. However, considering how much V2 development cost them, one could wonder what would happen if they diverted more resources to the nuclear project and the...

I proposed the gradual industrial transfer and many people proposed efficiency loss for losing cities. The devs aren't very interested, though. They worry that it may destroy all balance. I'd like to see Industry Evac but adding it would require pretty hefty overhaul of current system. Evac system ...

Man Ostfront looks empty  And that took some serious amount of time   I had similarly long game with Craig as well but not quite that long. What ever city left (relatively) unscathed (-Berlin) by RAF/USAAF bites the Bomb. I wonder how likely it would be for the Nazi bigwigs to s...

Sub is 15 Research points per level while artillery and blitzkrieg are 30 and 25 so the they don't cancel each out. Was that intentional?

Anyway, still Yes.

OK, I came up with these initial ideas. Grouped rather than tech by tech vote. Choose one. 1. 'Balanced' -option Artillery 0 (-1 level to current) Anti Tank Guns 0 (-1) Blitzkrieg 0 (-1) Surface Ships 2 (+1) ASW 2 (+1) Subs 2 (+1) Radar 2 (+1) 2. 'No bonus to initial ASW' -option Artillery 0 (-1 lev...

As we've seen in several AARs already this strategy certainly works very well against most players. I guess the question then is what would You do to reduce the effectiveness of it? If i did it with high effectiveness & skillful tac & trick , the result will be considered as my skill reason . I jus...

Rearrange US starting tech levels?

As it says on the tin. Would shifting US tech levels from INF/ARM to NAV and say, Radar help with the early tech parity thing? As I see it. In Morris way of playing early labs are put either at ARM or INF allowing high tech land units by '42. Obviously USN sucks techwise but because of the constant ...

I have to say, initially I very much liked this rule but judging from AARs it does lead to the 'run for the hills' thing way too much. I do it a lot as well.

I'm tempted to go for removing it alltogether but obviously AAR games aren't the only one's so I'd like to see more opinions.

2. A (supposed to be 60 right?)
3. C
4. C
5. B

This would shorten the PP gap which seems to be part of the current problem.

I think PP shortage limit sub use much much more then oil. How many axis can really build? Very rarely (italian sub mass production + close the med) I see more then 6. Its just not enough to control seas with oil cost or without it. And its extremeley hard to find spare PPs to build more subs. (by ...

tech levels - I also noticed that recently only that US starts with INF/ARM at 1st levels, same for Soviets. Why was this set? I could agree for some ARM techs (armor and/or antitank due to t-34 factors) for Soviets but why they have infantry superior to Germans? Well, they start with higher level ...

The thing about landing in wave after wave is the only sometimes I can get ashore as the allies. Besides by 1944 in my games I have an invasion capability of 6 for the US and 4 to 5 for the UK. Depending on the results of the landing. If the US uses up all of its capacity on the first turn, It will...
