Re: Questions, questions...

I can only answer 7), in that you gain the specialization that was already available in the conquered city. Hovering over a conquered city should show the specialization(s). and 8) Higher cavalry types can only be built in stables, I believe. [later] by the way, I didn't use an emoji! the eight) tu...

Questions, questions...

After many hours of gameplay -- which I have been enjoying very much-- I have gathered some questions: 1) Battle predictions: I like the design decision not to give percentage odds, but is there any chance you could list the predictions, in order, somewhere? Some of the meanings are very unclear to ...

Re: More First Impressions?

So how does the AI cope on the random maps? I'm much more interested in those than the historical map. I think the random maps will be awesome in MP, not sure how the AI copes though. I am currently playing at the third difficulty up on a random map. Gave myself a small starting advantage. And eith...

Hi Beorn,
they are hidden in the fog of war. Once you get closer you will see those units again. This is standard FoW behavior as far as I know?
Makes sense, so the only inconsistency is that you see them during their move I guess. But I suppose it would be awkward not to even have that.

Visibility of enemy units

Something I wonder about. As the other nations process and then show their moves, I can see enemy units intruding on my nation. I even get a notification about the invasion. But once it is my turn, I can no longer see what these units are. Not knowing the enemy military icons yet, I feel at a disadv...

Re: Great first impression but one concern

Wow, that was an impressively quick response! (Even before I finished editing it.)

Very helpful, I had not seen that button -- but I think I am a bit dyslexic about picking up subtleties in any UI. :)

Patch plan sounds wonderful. Thank you!!!

Great first impression but one concern

Having a great time on a random map, and the AI is performing very well, providing real opposition. However, I am concerned that, as far as I can see, your enemy can offer you peace during its turn, and although the action of that turn has flashed in front of you quickly, you cannot assess the situa...

Re: Ambushes

Sure, I was watching this one this morning, and it was the ambushes in this video that motivated me to ask. But I remember this happening previously also. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCHKH2KJLjs&t=1279s One of the ambushes was at 14:40 (I am less concerned about the event in DasTactic's game, th...

Ambushes

Continuing to watch DasTactic's videos, I am seeing him hit with quite a few ambushes, but as far as I have noticed, he has not discussed using ambushes themselves.

Could you please enlighten us as to this game mechanic, and what is necessary to use it?

Re: Some more questions

I'm continuing to watch DasTactic's series of Lets Plays, and I notice that he sieges cities as a matter of course. You have written that "the use of ‘dirty tactics’ such as city sieges when you deliberately leave the people to starve until death or surrender, are considered dishonourable actions." ...

Re: Aggressors Dev Diary #9 - Infrastructure

What I've seen playtesting is that anything less than 100% is a level of warning, that something may not be optimal in that city. Yes, that is what I gleaned from DasTactic's game and Pavel's comments during that game... which is why I thought the word "average" around the 50% mark is misleading.

Re: Aggressors Dev Diary #9 - Infrastructure

My concern was that the labels there might be misleading to players. I would add that the fear -3.1% sounds like crucial information, but I'm not sure how a player is to put this into perspective. The message this seems to communicate is that in the larger scheme of things (a 100 scale) this is just...

Re: Aggressors Dev Diary #9 - Infrastructure

From the DasTactic video and looking at the middle screen, I see a bit of a problem with the happiness screen: If anything less than 100% indicates trouble, and if a city down around 50% is in danger of revolting and flipping, then the label of "average attitude" is very misleading. And the colors r...
