Londo (Epiros) 37/50 - Blackadder (Carthage) 57/56 This time round, Pyrrhus lifted the siege of the city, and Epirot units in the rear moved inwards to a narrower defensive line, aiming to avoid contact with the Spanish shock troops for as long as possible. The two phalanxes engaged swiftly, and the...

Londo (Carthage) 33/56 - Ian (Epiros) 52/50 Pyrrhus held back his phalanx for quite a while, leading to a Mexican standoff in which both sides' heavy infantry stared at each other outside charge range, and made rude gestures without engaging. On the other side of the Epirot army, they assaulted the ...

Re: LORDS OF ITALY c 280 BC

Syracuse vs Carthage is based around the fight for a ridge line. Often in such situations I withdraw and shoot up the enemy with missile fire. So, Mamluks to the front! Wait, where did my Mamluk miniatures go? I was using them a little while ago and now they've disappeared! WHO'S STOLEN MY MAMLUKS?!...

My match with Lord Blackadder ended in a perfect draw! Londo (Ilkhanids) 85/85 vs Edmund_Blackadder (Chaghadaids) 95/95 A fitting way to end the tourney. Thanks to the other players and particularly fogman, for creating these fun and educative scenarios. The Mongol vs Mamluk clashes had huge importa...

Londo (Indians) 34/49 def Ian (Kyrenean Greeks) 47/43 I maximised the mobility of the Indian army, taking as many cavalry as I could - Indian cavalry is wretched, but at least cheap and mobile. We have one result ... Re: LORDS OF HISTORY 7: 'Mongols and Mamluks'

Many apologies - personal circumstances have rendered me hors de combat in the past fortnight. I believe Edmund has also been away from the battlefield for a while; his challenge for me has just been posted.

My challenge up for fogman, pw loh7

I promise to play from now with speed and diligence! :)
