Re: DLC 43 Kharkov

As always, I'd first like to say thanks to the PzC development team and Slitherine for allowing me to participate in the DLC beta. :) I downloaded and installed both the 1.06 beta and the DLC with no problems. Game runs smoothly, no issues in my first play-through. I will be playing through the beta...

Re: DLC 1943 Text Corrections

Kharkov 43 briefing:

1. In the second paragraph, "combat ready" needs a hyphen ("combat-ready," compound adjective).
2. In the third paragraph, where it says "Donets river" it should be "Donets River."
3. In the fourth paragraph, "high ranking" needs a hyphen ("high-ranking," same as #1).

Re: Patch 1.06?

Hope Alex gets all the rest he needs, it is certainly well deserved. (And I think the DLCs will keep us occupied plenty until he returns!)

Rood, thanks for the 1942 sheet. I was waiting to start the '42 campaign until I could print out a copy of this. Appreciate your hard work! :D

Re: Updated Forum Feedback

Overall I like the direction of the new forum format. Looks cleaner and more "modern." My top three suggestions for change would be: 1. Ability to switch avatars from right back to left. 2. Better differentiation between posts -- right now all these shades of green look so close it's hard to tell di...

Re: More DLC 1943 info

No particular path is a hard mode.

Hey, this is 1943... ALL the paths are hard now. 8)

Re: Suggestion for forum

Regarding avatars, I agree with everyone above -- I am used to seeing the avatars on the left of the message, not the right. Could this be made into an option on the user control panel?

BTW as a small spoiler preview, Kursk isn't all Soviet tanks, tanks, and more TANKS. Actually, according to recent studies of Kursk, the amount of armor present for the battle was a lot less than originally believed. So perhaps PzC can be on the cutting edge of history and have its scenarios featur...

The Strategic Command WW1 game is a very good game (as are all of the SC games), and I recommend it highly. Also good is Matrix Games' "Guns of August" (although that is a somwhat more complicated game). If you enjoy the Commander series of games from Slitherine (as I do), then CTGW should be a must...

Excellent showing... grabbing three spots in the top ten (including first place) is a remarkable achievement. A well-deserved honor, congrats to Slitherine, Lordz and the PzC development team for a job well done. :)

P.S. my StuG IIIB upgraded to StuH42 really kicked butt in direct fire mode. I used them to drive away the hordes of Russian Infantry.
Agreed, I purchased one of these and did a spectacular job against the Russian hordes. This upgrade, along with the FW-190, made a huge difference in this scenario.

Escape from Stalingrad, post-mission briefing (DV): 1. The following sentance has some issues: "I am most certain ... meat grinder of Stalingrad." It would work better as follows (corrections in bold): "I am most certain that this victory (delete 'here') will clear us of any wrongdoing (one word) wh...

so really it's all about people finding the difficulty that suits them the best. I think that's a solid reason behind PzC's success: it appeals to broad spectrum of gamers, and offers a challenge to those who are looking for a truly "hardcore" experience (aka Manstein level) as well as the more cas...
