Re: AAR davidjwest (Axis) vs Duncan (Allies)

After Poland we capture Holland fairly quickly without much if interest, then the phoney war settles in over the winter of 39-40. Manstein is recruited to lead the assault on Belgium and France as soon as winter ends and the weather allows. There's a bit of bombing of the UK with Norwich taking a be...

Poland falls after 3 turns, losses are fairly heavy though, this image shows the position after turn 2.

Re: Morris (Axis) vs davidjwest (Allies) - 3.1GS

The winter passes without too much to report as the phoney war drags on. I bring a Canadian GAR across the Atlantic to help defend the UK, but the German Wolf Packs intercept it and reduce it to 2 steps. They also manage to destroy completely one convoy. It isn't completely one sided as the british ...

No it's Win 8.1 - I'll check the settings, fog of war is on.

There is an issue that I can't zoom in further than that shown.

Will check the settings.

Axis best strategy?

I was wondering, is it best to follow the Axis historical strategy or is there a more optimum option? I've only really played against the AI so not sure what works best against humans. So, is it really best to go Poland, Denmark, Norway, Low Countries, France etc or not? I've tried a few options and...

Re: Morris (Axis) vs davidjwest (Allies) - 3.1GS

The early turns. Everything follows a fairly standard pattern early on with Poland falling on 11th October, here's an image of the invasion after 2 turns: http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa117/davidjwest/1_zps869cf390.jpg Holland also falls the same turn. 1939 passes relatively uneventfully as th...

3.1 GS opponent wanted [closed]

Hi, I'm fairly moderate as far as skill goes, happy to play either Allies or Axis, possibly write an AAR, anyone interested? Probably take a turn a day or every two days, once a week at the worst once it gets to the later stages. :D - I now have two opponents, so no more please, let me get beaten by...

Alternative Barbarossa

Hello,

I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd have a go at an AAR. I've got an idea that might be interesting but I would be playing vs the AI (Allies at moderate advantage) - would that be OK?

Cheers.
