October 24th 1943 (4) No rain and the skies are blue, I may need to sack my weather forecasters. Around here they give the weather man a raise when he's wrong as often as yours is. :D Great AAR BTW. I've tried a few of your strategies and have had much better results, grouping my core forces into '...

It certainly isn't a problem when the extreme results work in my favor! :D How would you know? When it error in your favor, you most likely didn’t attack. An opportunity lost. Maybe that's why I get creamed, I don't pay a lot of attention to it. I think the phrase is leading with your chin :D

I rarely run into the really way off results, maybe once per scenario, so I don't see it as a big problem. It certainly isn't a problem when the extreme results work in my favor! :D

Thanks for the recommendations.
I have one other question. I have Windows 7 64 bit installed. The game is installed in c\program files (x86)\Panzer Corps. Is this where I create the Mod folder and install the different mods in if I'm using the generic mod installer?

Which mod is most complete?

I think i'm ready to try one of the mods here. There seem to be some really good ones. Which one is the most complete as far as testing and balance against the AI? Will it work with the generic mod installer? Would it reuire new maps to be loded separately or are new maps generally included in the m...

Hmm, I am still having a hard time seeing how this could really be usefull in game. A unit that is at two strength and purposfully strengthened only to 5 or 6 is still weak and going to be a target of your opponent, AI or humanoid. Also , how did such a unit get that weak in the ist place? Likly it...

O.T. but someone might be able to answer it. I thought I saw a posting either here or over at Matrix where you could view the scenario stats, number and type of losses etc. How is it possible to get these to display? I think "C" is what you are after. Also, this might be the thread you mention http...

Re: Question about game and updates

Does it matter where I purchase the game from (Slitherine or Matrix site) in order for the updates to work? Matrix is now owned by Slitherine ... I would recommend the Slitherine version due to the fact that this site (i.e., the CEaW GS forum) is much more active than it's sister Matrix forum. I'm ...

For Allied Corps I think it could start as early as France. Sure the Brits will probably get stomped but they could begin to build up their core forces. Then it should go to North Africa where the Brit's could get even more stomped (for a time) experience then the US could join for Tunisia and then ...

Question about game and updates

I'm thinking of getting this game and I've done some reading on the site. It seems like some of the updates require previous updates to be installed and others not to be. In a new install how many updates and which ones would I need to get to the version GS2.0? Does it matter where I purchase the ga...

From what I've read about Kursk the T34 was the most prevelant Russian tank in the battle and that there were also a number of Sherman and Grant's. This is not what you find in the scenarion. In fact there were ~4,000 shermans sent to the USSR but they aren't even in the force pool.

Don't you need a DV in Barbarossa to get the Rush scenario though? Yes, but Rush to Moscow isn't a prerequisite for Sea Lion 42'. You can Marginal Win Barbarossa and still go D/M Kiev -> Decisive Moscow 41' -> Sea Lion 42'. In the end both lead to Sea Lion 42' if you lost or won a marginal victory ...
