Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

The Canadians had Churchills ith 2pdr and 6pdr guns, and 3 flame tanks, although they wouldnt be Crocs. So Mk. I and IIs?? Looking at pics from the raid, didnt see any floating devices around the tanks so dont know how they landed them.

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Ok Anfield! The Pionieers, just what was needed to complete the improved German Infantry set! By the way, I found some good images and will do the icons for: Ram Tank Mk.II, Ram Kangaroo and Ram Badger (flamethrower version of the Kangaroo). And also... Did the Canadians in Dieppe used Churchills M...

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Ive noticed in a few threads on here of late that I point out i never run German Pioneers, which if you look through this thread youll see no camo skins to match the others that ive posted. However tonight i started to correct that, one is done, 3-4 to go. Sadly I wish I had done them all at the sam...

Re: Defense Heroes boost close defense?

Thats good to know, didnt know it was across the board, woot! See this is why if you have the unit stat screen up when you play, stats that go up should be in green so you can see it. As you would when you compare items to buy from the purchase units menu.

Re: Units I have learned to love

Strategic bombers are pure gold, if people arent using them they are really missing out. Apart from great ship killers, I find them key to taking fuel and ammo away from big tanks that are hard to kill. There im talking when you play AC but they work just as well late war for helping the Germans dea...

Re: which infantry do you prefer (pre-1943)

I will drop FJ behind the lines up till about the end of 41. After that the tanks they face and the massive amount of Russian troops in the east make it hard to keep them alive, that low ammo and the vast numbers just kill them off. So around then I just switch them to fight as elite infantry.

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Yes I knew about the ones in the Dieppe Raid, interesting that they never got issued Churchills again directly. Thanks for the links, one i already had, but not the other which is nice. If I ever get round to making a Western Allies Elite units mod, which id like too, the Canadians will be in it so ...

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Yes, I suppose the reason was something like that... I am no expert in what equipment used Canadian forces in World War Two. And I agree, there is no reason in duplicate everything the British had with Canadian colours. Yeah just did a search again and is a no on those other tanks. They sort of got...

Re: Unit nicknames?

I name all my units to keep them in order by divisions. But nicknames, for the most part no. The only ones Ive ever used were Blue, Red, and Black Max. that I gave to fighters with good heros.

Now one nickname i recall from the old PG days was the infantry unit i named the Gravediggers!!

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

I dont know if that animation will suit your icon, I think we must make a custom new one, but you can check... By the way, while looking at your Canadian unit pack, I noticed that the Cromwell tank is missing... Was that intentional? About endless options, you should have a look to my "icons to do"...

Re: which infantry do you prefer (pre-1943)

I normally run more infantry than armor units AC or PC. Core for the DLC just before 43 is about what 30-34 maybe, im guessing id have least a dozen infantry units. Somewhat like the original poster, if an infantry unit cant move at a 3 I wont use it. So of that 12, 2-3 would be FJ (para) maybe 1 Ge...

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Or... we can make special animations for them... I was toying with those graphics files, and made two new ones (or more accurately derivatives) for the Slovak Mountain troops, and I was reported that they worked, so if you like... :-) Upload the icons... And if you want to give the US glider troops...

Re: Anfields Army Men and Unit Icons Updated 2/19/14

Found out last night there isnt an animation for the US Glider troops and British Airlanding troops I made. They are both the two man para icons but with a rifle and not a machine gun. So might have to go back to the machine gun, so anyone got any ideas of what I could add to the image to make them ...

But getting back on topic, AC pissed me off two nights ago!! I was fighting D-Day and finally taking Caen. Which as you all know is a pain to take lol Anyway with everything massing there, I some how overlooked the fuel on a 4 star spitfire that id had since the britsh could first buy planes ...

Re: Paralyzed by choices: AC? AK?? GC???

I will second that about the mindset change you need to make playing AC. After two years as the germans in PC, AC was hard to play first time through. No longer are the tanks the King of your army, infantry, artillery and airpower are whats going to win games for you in AC. But I guess thats what ma...

Re: Maelstrom (US campaign) OCT 2012

Once again want to thank you for this MOD!! Id rather play as the Allies any day of the week. After a year or more I reloaded this one and had forgot how much of a challenge this is to play. The Allies really do get the short end of the stick so far in the PC world which makes this one such fun to p...
