I have a vague memory of one of the authors confirming this. And that's how I always play it. The battle group itself is not the "actual" formation of a unit, but simply the place-marker for a collection of smaller units grouped together (usually). They are not necessarily all crammed together in a ...

Thanks Fred. That's a good idea. I solved my Egyptian problem, I think. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m535/pezhetairoi/FoG%20Markers/IMG_2989.jpg It was tricky, but I think it's readable. Hopefully there are enough NKE players out there to make it worth it. Next up is some Renaissance markers,...

It would not be as elaborate, but for people wanting two sides (or the same inscription in both sides, whatever the reason), why not making the markers half depth and sticking them together with glue? Being standard, they would fit quite well. I could try this. The problem would be the edges ... th...

Hey Folks, I've been pretty busy with regular work lately, but I've just made a few more markers. They are the Chinese markers, made to represent hanging scrolls. I hope the font is readable. I didn't want it to look like a cheap take-out restaurant text. Any suggestions? I can still modify them, I ...

After minutes of detailed research I have come up with the following conclusions Gastropod [/u] - a class of molluscs typically having a one-piece coiled shell and flattened muscular foot with a head bearing stalked eyes So this means they are slow firing, indeed snail-like Gastraphetes [/u] - a ha...

Awsome! That is the way to do it. :D
When you build an army like that you'll love it -- win or lose.

You'll just have to find a Later Persian opponent.

New Dark Age marker set is now available. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m535/pezhetairoi/FoG%20Markers/IMG_2642.jpg This would be suitable for most Dark Age "barbarian" types, including vikings. It's based loosely on Futhark runes from a Saxon wooden casket. I painted the samples as aged wood,...

Of course it's possible, but it would increase the cost of the markers. The laser cutter can only engrave one side at a time. The markers would have to be turned upside down and inserted into a special "jig" to make sure the engraving lines-up properly front and back. This would probably doubl...

Yes, I can take paypal. I use the invoice system. I'll confirm the order and price with you, and then send an invoice which can be paid through paypal. So I'll keep the arrangement of 6 DISR, 6 FRAG, 6 BROK. If you'd like something different just ask, it would be the same price. Since I run a model ...

That's a good point. It could be easily changed.
The BROK markers do tend to get removed quickly when and units are destroyed, and frankly, you've lost the game by then anyway.

Any one else think that's a good idea? Or other suggestions?

New set of markers called "South Asian". A slight departure from the other designs, these round markers are a little less than 24mm diameter (less than 1 inch). I felt the round medallion suited the text. These markers would be suitable for many of the Indian, Burmese, and possible later Persian arm...

Any chance to get the other version with the new fonts? I'm speaking of the ones with the text protruding. You had them with the greek letters IIRC. http://i1130.photobucket.com/albums/m535/pezhetairoi/Battle%20report%201/Battle114-1.jpg Yes they were my first try. After some on-table use I rejecte...

Unpainted sets are $20 CAN. Painted sets are $45 CAN. 40mm width sets are available for $5 more per set. (they are iden...

Yes, 40mm by 20mm is possible. It means there would be more room for text in some cases. I have no idea what postage would be to Europe. I will look it up somehow. Its looking like $20 CAN for a set of 18 unpainted markers, and $45 CAN for painted ones. (six of each, DISR, FRAG, and BROK). I will in...

Thanks guys. I could sell them. I didn't know if anyone would be interested in that sort of thing. I thought I'd get some feedback first. What would people like? Unpainted -- (this is a model making hobby after all) approx $20 CAN for 6 of each FRAG, DISR and BROK (total 18 counters) Painted -- prob...
