After months of losing with my Alex Mac's taking Petedalby's advice worked wonders.

He does know what he's talking about.

Don't faff about with too many lightweight troops.

Baueda's the best I've come across - but pricey
I'd expect to buy half an army for what it'll cost you for the camp!

Hi all, I have a quick question the supporting archers in the 'Abid al-shira and Dailami battlegroups. Are they able to shoot through the two ranks in front of them as long as they are in range of an enemy target or do they have to somehow manouvere to the front of the battlegroup? How would this b...

IMHO they don't conform. So B fights the melee with 1 element in contact and 1 element overlap - typically 4 dice. A fights with 1 element in contact and 2 elements in overlap (1 each side) typically 6 dice. Had the units conformed then the dice used would be calculated differently in regard to over...

Or alternatively block up the flanks.
If the Enemy ignores you and fills the centre of the board, you await his advance then jump out on his flank!

"8 Commanders"????? But yes keep the four - consider using allied comanders and perhaps consider the field fortifications with the points difference Alternatively drop the 8 unit to 6 and spend the points on field fortifications. I'd guess without some luck in shooting you will need them against leg...

Nope, theres only one team in Black + White for me, and its not the Toon. And I think a "next 4" fixture list of Spurs, Juventus, Man Utd & Juventus again shows out time has already come !

Sorry to get technical  Statistically the distribution curve for the larger unit (assuming its fighting with all possible elements) is wider and flatter than that for a small unit. You didn't say anything of new for me. But this is true if you confront a BG in 8s and a BG in 4s alone. If you g...

I vote for command points too. So to maintain balance between relative units the points system would require total overhaul and a rewrite the army lists. So we will have to buy them all again! Is this an Osprey inspired plot to get more of our money :?:  Alternative: Charge 10pts a bat...

Currently I do half (ish) of the base with railway ballast (lots of variety of colours) and the rest of the base in a very mixed bag of flock, grass, dinky green bushes etc. I like random!

I agree with earlier contributors

List is quite clear you must have a unit of followers for each unit of detached Bushi (whether mounted or on foot).
You can then (probably will) upgrade them.
