Make sure you register soon Marty. Space at Cancon is being used up quickly by other events!

Re: HistorX 2

I'd just like to give a plug to one of the tournament sponsors. I got a voucher from Elite Miniatures Australia - run by a bloke called Nathan. I contacted Nathan by email. Not only does he stock an awesome range of 28mm figures but he is a pleasure to deal with. Only ordered the figures this mornin...

Re: HistorX 2

Fantastic comp Lawrence. Prizes were first class! I thoroughly enjoyed all my games. Yes, even being massacred by Keith as he showed me what it takes to win a tournament :)

Re: NZ National Championships - Easter 2016

Sadly the easter weekend is not an option for me. I did hear talk of a Fogn competition in New Zealand at the end of February which is of interest. Hopefully we get details of that at some point.

Re: HistorX 2

Having to bring terrain is a bit of an issue for those of us flying. Hopefully most can be splied at the venue.

Re: HistorX 2

Thanks. That link confirms for me that it is the closest. Good idea about the train but I'll probably do the walk. Not a bad bit of exercise after gaming all day.

Re: HistorX 2

Hi,

I was just looking for accomodation within walking distance of the bowls club. The closest I could find was just short of 3km's away at the Brook Hotel at Mitchelton. I'm happy enough with a 30 minute walk but was just wondering if i have missed something that might be closer.

Re: HistorX 2

Congrats on the win Keith. Sorry for not replying sooner. Thanks for the notification. Will post up a players pack with all the details late Aug, including scenarios, maps, etc. Rich, that'd be great if the Melbourne boys were to come up. We enjoyed having them up here. So the weekend is definitely...

Re: FOGN Tournament in Melbourne, July 18th and 19th

Sorry Geoff, not sure how that slipped through! In fact on my records you got 55 points and came 8th. Put it down to the drugs I was using to fight off the affects of my flu. Great to have had you along. Hope you caught your flight okay. No worries Richard. You were quite crook that's for sure. Tou...

Hey Richard, I finished on 54!
What a great Comp. my first at the glorious Club Tivoli. Great venue - German food as well as Franziskaner on tap.
Hopefully see you all next year.

Re: FOGN 2nd Edition

The main thing that drew me to these rules was the subtle way in which many interactions are handled without having special rules for each instance. If you want to move in a formation that is quickly converted to square then you can now. An infantry unit in tactical is already allowed to take a cohe...

Re: FOGN Tournament in Melbourne, July 18th and 19th

Hi Tyler,

Where on the League Forum are the scenarios? I downloaded some last year but can't remember where from. I figure there may be some changes or even new scenarios for this year.

Re: Artillery:In Front or Beside??

Then you 'pop' through them in the movement phase and there you are This is how Kit gets to move his British infantry 7MU! Luckily the errata for page 40 stops this; Page 40: MOVING THROUGH FREINDLY UNITS - (RH Column) After 6th bullet point above Add another bullet point: `  "No unit can increase...

Re: Prussian Army Corps 1815

Thanks, that's as I thought. The large divisions required make it almost impossible to do 4 divisions. No problem, just means a different flavour army to French and such. Will probably end up going with a smallish cavalry division if I want to use 4 divisions.

Prussian Army Corps 1815

I've finally got 800 points worth of this army painted up. Problem is the list seems very restrictive. You can have any number of mixed divisions but this is very difficult to do. The restriction that "more than half the units in each must be infantry" is a stumbling block. Now the lists have both c...
