Re: Scenario creation

Open the file scenarios.whdat with excel. Add your scenario to the list. That's it, really.
Of course, always make a copy of the original file first.

Or you could use Notepad++

Re: Scenario creation

You have to edit the name of your scenario file into the file scenarios.whdat, for it to show up.
I used excel for that.

Re: How to create new units, weapons, campaigns, briefings

I tried to edit attack.whdat with excel, to add the missing hivewallturret, but now all the weapon offsets are a wrong.
Do I need to import the .whdat in a certain format? ANSI?

Re: Scenario creation

There's more than one layer to the map. First you set op the actual terrain, then the tiles are overlayed. To make it pretty, with sides connecting.

How do you set reinforcements?

I want to create a second wave of Orks but I can't see how I set the units as reinforcements.
I've looked at scenario 12 but can't find how the space marines are set up.

Thanks for the hard work and Happy Hollidays.

Quick question though, I was under the impression that this version would have a working AI. Not so?

Re: The Update or New FoG Can Only Come All Too Soon ...

you'll have at least a FoG(U) beta in a finished state before the end of this year? PS: a new beta version will be out any day by now, and in case you need a reminder, the beta is open by more than a couple of months.. Good news indeed! Finished state before the end of the year, does that mean the ...

Re: Bronze Age

Then what is it I see in the images/units folder? Those are not 3D images, they are PNG (okay not JPEG) files consisting of 12 shots of a figurine in 12 directions. Cropinfo.xml gives the info where to crop the picture file, to get a single unit facing in a certain direction. This can all be edited ...

Re: Bronze Age

I thought the artwork were just JPEGS, no? So someone with a camera could shoot pictures from anyone who has figurines. Then they need to be edited into the right size jpegs. I wouldn't care if the figurines were somewhat off, compared to other eras. Still would be a lot of work but not too complica...

YES!!

Please make a digital release for Swifter than Eagles.

(and please stop calling the period 'biblical')

Was it just me or did I see the cover appear briefly in the DAG builder, in one of the beta test releases?

Re: Open Betatest - [BLD] Latest Release - v1.8.12.824 bRC6u

Hello, Although you can now at least save a personal (non-DAG) army, which is a great step forward, I find the process of creating one quite difficult. The steps you have to go through still go via the scenario editor, which I find rather counter intuitive and difficult to figure out.Espescially how...

Re: WTF Chariots?

Here's just another vote that the chariots come over as far too strong. I appreciate the difficulties in abstracting single moves in a turn-based game, when simulating moves that should be thought of as simultanious. Nevertheless, I've on several occasions had single chariots win melee while I had, ...
