Probably, but when they won't turn and the camp is the only thing in range, oh well.....

There isn't one in Decline and Fall but there is one in Wolves from the Sea (p. 39) that should serve reasonably well.

4 stand BG of Average Disrupted Cataphracts charge 4 stand BG of skirmishing armoured superior bow armed cav. The cav evade and roll short. The cataphracts roll up and catch the cav in the rear. Cav disrupts for being hit in the year and then rolls up and gets three hits (not 4) on the cats who roll...

I don't think red 2 would be eligible for the expansion as the green/red bases must stay in contact and red 2 forms the link between the two green groups of the BG. Red 1 would still be eligible to expand to face A or B though. Maybe an author can clarify if I am reading the diagram correctly. Si w...

I don't think that is so unusual. I believe there is more than one list in which the minimum battlegroup size changes between main list and allies list. Don't have the books in front of me but will look later for another example.

Emesan Allies

Anyone have any suggestions for figures to use for Emesan Allies for a Principate Roman list? I was thinking probably Parthian or Seleucid figures. All help greatly appreciated.

I most definetely would have found those 4 points if the army list date would have allowed such. As it was I practically handed you the win. @#@$ Ottomans.

The 6 stand cataphract is going to be difficult to manouver. I would drop it to 4 stands freeing up 32 points which would give you a 4 stand light horse unit and raise your BG total. Conversely, you could use the extra points for a 6 stand light foot archer or an 8 stand light foot slinger. This is ...

I have no doubt there should be a Sassanid Ally option for the Lakhmids but bearing in mind that Lakhmids under Al-Mundhir provided up to 1/3 of the Sassanid force at Callinicum in 531 AD it would seem reasonable for a Lakhmid ally option for the Sassanids at least in 531. I will have to check the r...

Lakhmids

Will there be an errata to allow the Sassanids to use Lakhmid allies? The current Early Arab Ally is rather limited. Or will the Sassanids be an ally choice for the Lakhmids?

A Piece of the Empire 1340 Medieval Campaign

This summer's campaign season is upon us and this year, I am running a 1340 Medieval Europe campaign. Initially, we started with 13 players playing 12 realms (two fellows wanted to play as a team as they felt work might get in the way of either one of them getting all of thier moves and battles in) ...

Hammy,

I will see what we can do. It would require a significant reconfiguration of the rankings at this point but even so we will look at it.

The previous year's rankings used a different method than the one we have put together. ONe of the tie breaks built into this method is the previous year's EOY ranking.
