Without a technical difference yes, adding the sense that the holding firm is continuing and may indeed continue to continue in the face of reverses.

Yes I already do that but there is still the flurry of movement, evades, and for me at least having the ressential esults box obscuring the relevant units makes it harder to figure out what is happened and what to do next with the unit. was particularly so with my sea of blue and green tribesmen. How to slow down replays/animations?

Please, Is there a setting that enables slowing down the movement and combat animations in replay so I can assess in realtime without replaying replays multiple times?

Richard, maybe what is happening would be better implied by having the subsequent "Hold Firms" on the same modifiers reworded to "Remains Firm" or the like unless there is a fresh test which would use "Holds Firm" again.

The Persians as a rule always have ample good cavalry to swing round any flanking route, pin the enemy front to limit their readjustment, and support the infantry as they come up. Or they can deploy in the rear or center and use their speed to redeploy their weight to the striking echelon. My bigges...

Don't want to raise a ruckus and hope maybe a mod could fix this. It is still a nuisance to have to rotate the map back and forth to find the currently active unit (at the point around which everything rotates) and to lean in and closely examine the shades of difference between the greenish terrain ...

Thanks, zakblood. I prefer to continue support Slitherine with my purchases. Over the years, I've succumbed to Steam pressure for game mgmt since they enabled version rollbacks.

Counter-insurgency is a rare topic for games.

I liked their VIetnam 65. This is more expansive all round and much deeper on the building up the country/hearts and minds side. Decided to buy after watching preview copy Let's play videos.

Thank you Cothyso! Does any of this potentially fix the replay freeze in MP, or could you kindly respond on any way to fix the MP freeze or workaround? The FOG launcher reports I already have the latest files (not counting the beta files).

Multiplayer games are stalling at replay so few reach a conclusion. Anything I can do about this? I have the new FOG and it checks for updates, I believe.

You have my encouragement. I hope the new version will have the key UI functionality of the old one, especially with tooltips for terrain and enemy units, and both short and detailed combat predictions and unit info in the lower windows without having to clutter the map with the slide-out detail bar...
