Re: Downloading Panzer Corps

The Matrix download went fine. Thanks!
I encourage users to CLOSE your game you have open, as the download will stop if certain files are in use.

I understand any games in progress will not update to v1.22...so one must start over?

Re: Downloading Panzer Corps

My laptop hard drive became corrupted during a power outage. Got it fixed. With my game serial numbers I was able to download PC, AK and the GCs from Slitherine, though each download was moderately glitchy with error screens that had to be clicked away. And this on Windows 10. Games works fine. I th...

Re: Panzer Corps Tutorial

Very well done project and worth the effort for all newbies. I would suggest you explain what you are doing more and suggest you look at the careful tactical strategies and prestige management of Braccada, Deducter and Keldorkatarn in their AARs. I'm afraid that your over aggressive style of play co...

New content

Operation Sealion never happened so why make so much new content based on fiction? I know I'll be shouted down by those eager to play more. But 30 battles??! My preference is to have Panzer Corps: Battles, a perhaps battalion or division sized battle, based on actual military history recorded in det...

Re: So it seems many would like Steel Panthers next

OK, here are three things I loved to do in SP. 1) Have German engineers lay mines then retreat a hex and ambush 2) Set up mine field, then unleash nebelwerfers (great sound effects) when massed Russian infantry gets bogged down 3) Set up two ambushing enfilading MG42 in a field, then when Russian in...

Re: Berlin Redux

You certainly have the pick of units.... A stretched out defense will fail. Again, form a tight defensive box on an "island" forcing Russian to attack on river hexes. **Make this island as compact as possible** to maximize efficient fighter cover along with a few AA. Tank on clear, infantry on terra...

Re: Why is General Feldmarschall Haberman here?

Good point! I have suggested previously that local leaders positively (or negatively if bad!) affect battle outcomes. I have also suggested that capturing enemy leaders be worth an interesting level of prestige as in real war. Make leaders tougher to spot. You'll probably be told that this affects b...

Re: Does the AI cheat?

I have attempted to "trick" the AI back (!) in certain battles where the German had done very well, with total victory imminent but then have pulled back a hex from the last major objective hex (or two) allowing the AI to spawn the usual one to four new T34s or whatever that are then easy to destroy...

Re: Mega-campaign: Challenging or an exercise in futility?

I made it through to Berlin 45 relatively intact, but this scenario is so painful because you just watch the core you've used for tons of scenarios get totally destroyed by hundreds of Russian units. What's the point? It's miserable. Not fun at all. Set up is very critical here. An extremely tight ...

Re: Mega-campaign: Challenging or an exercise in futility?

Postby TigerIII » Thu Oct 16, 2014 11:35 am I come to 43, run out of prestige, lose interest and quit. ;) When i am no longer able to reinforce my tanks its just no fun. But that was before i was aware of the soft cap. Now i will try a new game where i will only have SE tanks +Kerscher&Rondorf. And ...

Re: Mega-campaign: Challenging or an exercise in futility?

If the German, playing the DLCs, wins in the East in '41, '42, '43, etc., then that means an end to the game notwithstanding the Battle for Britain via '42--'45 West DLCs. Staff told me that most players enjoyed the long "historical path" and losing the war though winning repeated decisive victories...

Re: Can't get decisive victories and a couple questions

There you go! Idea: as a reward give the successful DV commander a new slot when an off-the-beaten-path objective is captured and/or allow a core unit to arrive as an in game reinforcement. Or add an extra slot for the next battle only, etc. Add it as a patch to DLCs encouraging players to replay th...

Re: Various improvements suggestions

The ONE SINGLE IMPROVEMENT I have been clamoring for is when you right click on a unit to see characteristics all hero bonuses are incorporated into the numbers seen there. A FAST and SIMPLE way to see the characteristics so that a many 'beheroed' unit appears differently compared to a newbie unit.

I won't buy Allied Corps or Soviet Corps until DLCs come out.
It's interesting to play through the base campaign once but not again. The DLCs are where it's at.
I have a very long wait.
