New game proposal

I've always said that Panzer Corps, the game, was sized wrongly, with battalion or company sized units engaged on strategic sized maps with strategic objectives (mostly). Understandable, I guess, as an initial effort. And, I understand that now most gamers seem more interested in Soviet Corps and DL...

Re: What is favorite German recon unit...

By the start of 1944 the recon units just can't stand up to the big boys and hordes of Russian armor. They need to be coddled too much, and as mentioned you probably have a few heroes that add spotting value on to your other more useful units such as armor. And as you probably have discovered the AI...

Re: Panzer Corps Patch v1.25

Does an entirely new game need to be restarted to incorporate new Soviet units into the game?
Do the new units incorporate into the PC DLCs?

Re: After Soviet Corps?

Of course, an Allied Corps DLC series should follow, then one for Soviet Corps. I made the suggestion previously, which is, once a year, perhaps with a patch (which as usual may include additional units, heroes, etc.) is add in one extra battle that can insert itself into the DLC campaign pathway. T...

Re: If the German’s had won at the Bulge,,,,,,

Dunkirk was the battle that would determine that Germany would not defeat Britain. Stalingrad was the battle that determined Germany would not win the war. Kursk was the battle that determined Germany would lose the war. ANY major offensive by Germany after that point was doomed to failure now that ...

Re: how to use AT units?

It's a labor of love to aggressively use the early war 37mm AT -- positioning it, protecting it, backing it up with artillery, until you upgrade to the mobile Panzerjager or go the route of towed AT 50mm, 75mm, 88mm. Nothing like having an experienced 88mm AT in '44 and '45. They are cheaper to repa...

Re: Grand Campaign '45 (Eastern Front)

Simply click on the file. It downloads. Highlight that, then copy. Copy to "This PC," then 'documents,' then 'My Games, ' then "Panzer Corps' folder, then "replay.' When 'replay' opens hit ctrl-paste to paste file there. Close. Open Panzer Corps game, load game, hit **replay** tab on right where bat...

Incremental replacement

Speaking of replacements, why not allow incremental addition of replacements, like in a real unit, allowing player to decide how many, normal and/or elite number of replacements?
Why force none or all??

Re: Favorite tank topic

A late year model four or five star Panther, especially with some (defensive) heroes, as it hits hard, is resistant to artillery barrages and has unmatched mobility. Gets all over the map, especially as fire brigade. The most beautiful too, especially the Jagdpanther variant, whose hard cold steel I...

Re: Sea Lion saved army core continues in DLC 43 East

Since "Sea Lion" is a counterfactual, an alternative to ultimate Axis victory in WWII, the first battle should include the reduction and capture of Dunkirk. As you know, cautious Hitler halted his Army on the outskirts of Dunkirk allowing hundreds of thousands of British and French troops to evacuat...

Re: German Elefants = BS

Don't forget, the Ferdinand, renamed 'Elefant' when in use later in Italy, was RUSHED into service in the hasty preparation for Hitler's ill-advised Zitadelle. When an anti-infantry ball-mounted 7.92mm machine gun was added and zimmerit anti-mine paste applied AND accompanied by protective infantry ...

I'd like to see some reward for medals, perhaps an extra ammo or fuel, or extra movement for a turn or two. From the men at HQ to the boys downtada front.
Somethin'.
Maybe a free upgrade in battle (must go to nearest objective/city) for a biggie.

Re: Piatek

The are several keys to success here. There are a huge number of enemy units. They all attack toward and want to cross at the river crossings. The key strategy is to NOT occupy the victory hexes. Defend from the non-river hex* and attack the enemy who is badly positioned on the river hex, sometimes ...
