Re: Status Check for GC
demyansk is an easy scenario which is very useful for racking up kills/farming heroes/getting surrender prestige. There is a bottlenecked killing field in the south and to a lesser extent in the north that they rush into to be slaughtered. The small size and predictable flight patterns make it good ...

Re: Why "3D" Graphics Will Never be Good for PzC
(for boring people like me who have sound and animation turned off if possible); will there be an option for stronger hex grid lines like there is in the first version?

Re: Why "3D" Graphics Will Never be Good for PzC
This is a very interesting thread and despite: "...In retrospect, I think that we stopped doing content for Panzer Corps too early"... (yes, yes , yes :-) In case no-one else says it; This level of detailed engagement with the enthusiasts of the game is VERY encouraging and VERY good and I would hav...

Re: Status Check for GC
If you look at this very old thread and scroll down you will see someone has done bar graphs of the different sizes of arty at different strengths damage against different types of targets. It is a real eye opener, well worth looking at before deciding on arty strategy. http://www.slitherine.com/for...

Re: Status Check for GC
I would still get rid of the SE infantry and convert it to an SE tank. Once the softcap kicks in it will matter. I agree with captain jack; convert the 15cm to 17cm. I would not bother with 15cm at all and go straight from 10.5 to 17cm. I would convert your captured 10.5 artilliary to a wurfrahmen, ...

3 D) Insterberg [DV] Prestige = 13289 [+ 100 prestige per turn + enemy goes first] Core activity: Reoverstrengthening Strategy: A few tough grenadiers protecting the VH's with some king tigers around them backed up with arty. Also alot of fighters and AA. Will give ground and retake if needed. Deplo...

Re: GC42-45 EAST, replays and analysis, Field marshall
So these three 'attacking' scenarios ended up with a prestige gain of 1114 + one overstrengthed KV85 (KV85 = 605)

4 A) Laptau [DV] prestige = 12697 [+100 prestige per turn + enemy goes first] Core Activity: Repair 2 infantry. Minor reoverstrengthening. Strategy: Small/Medium map, mixed bad terrain, lots of hills. Plan is to just advance in a rough line with the tanks then follow up behind with other units to mo...

replay(15.07.2018) Parck, Turn 22.rar 3 A) Parck [DV] Prestige = 112583 [+100 prestige per turn + capturable KV85 tank] Core activity: Minor reoverstrengthening. Strategy:A small map with mixed bad terrain. It is however quite an easy scenario. A group on the right will take out the initial clump a...

Strategy: This is an easy scenario. A small map, mixed terrain. The weather is also mixed. For the method I prefer you just requir...

Re: GC42-45 EAST, replays and analysis, Field marshall
There is now a choice between an 'offensive/attacking' path and a 'defensive' path. I will do both and compare.

Hopefully you will have the options to turn the shadows and (as much of as possible) turn the other eye candy off?, then we might not have to buy a new laptop to play it.

Re: Why "3D" Graphics Will Never be Good for PzC
SO Well put proline, I have to agree with your origional post (and the later one). If you want to see a real horror story where you can see what you described, this going from 2d to '3d' where there is actually a slider where you can change your angle of perspective find an old copy of the appalling...

Analogamer: "Those jagars are squishy!"
Ha ha yes soooo true
Even when I have tried to farm an AT I have waited untill the stug 3f's are available as the jaegers arejust too vulnerable even in the easier earlier scenarios.

hard coded overstrength capturables query
In GC45 you can capture a couple of KV85's however although they have experience 100 (with no kills) they are strengthed at 12. I have noticed with some other units (gc44 captured AA) with this phenomena that when they lose strength and you try to repair them back to thier first given strength the c...

Re: Status Check for GC
because when the big numbers of armour start rollling against you you NEED heroed and experienced tanks to destroy them without losses and about halfway through the GC and later (as early as the start of gc42), the latest tanks start affecting the softcap quite alot but if they are SE they dont coun...

Re: Status Check for GC
I would strongly suggest disbanding (in staggered order) your two SE infantry and replacing them with SE tanks (in fact always ALL SE units as tanks). It makes things slightly harder now but you will thank yourself later on in the later harder scenarios of the GC. You should have had a couple of SE ...
