Re: Backstory / Dialogue

I have just noticed and the dialogue option of Divine Ascendancy to propose a non aggression pact starts talking about how Lady Pax appeared in a golden shower. I had heard some friends using that expression with another meaning and a quick search on google confirmed that this expression has some na...

Request: "Road to" order

One thing that I always think that it would be nice to have while controlling my formers is a "road to" order, where I tell it where I want it to go and it lays a road from wherever it is to that place. I want to connect my cities, but I don't want to create each piece of road.

Re: Musing on Victory conditions

Actually there is a warning when someone is getting close to their scientific victory, and the victory text does claim that a transcendence has happened. It still feels a bit disconnected from any story. I've achieved it without even knowing, because I wasn't looking at the victory progression.

Re: My First Impression

There is no information displayed on the fungus land tile that indicates this will hurt troops. Good point. Something I was wondering: has anyone seen a former self-destruct by trying to remove fungus? I had some that got severely damaged, but I didn't notice any of them exploding (although I tend ...

Re: My Reaction / Consider These Ideas

I will have to echo that comment. I had this exact experience in my last game. That's why I suggested to make the computer more aggressive. It can already out-produce me.

CTD when capturing hive

To reproduce, load attached save file, select drones and attack hive. Game will crash to desktop. Something I notice: when it crashed the first time, I hadn't save, so I loaded the auto save. Upon loading, the drones (which were attacked during last enemy turn) died. However, when I play the end of ...

Observations from a recent game

I have just played a game as Togra University and achieved a science victory without difficulties because the computer isn't playing aggressively. My conclusions from this game: Maybe at game creation there should be an option to define computer aggressiveness as there is for aliens? Computer doesn'...

Bug: Invisible Citizens

I have found a bug with citizen distribution. The save game and logs are attached (by the way, why is pandorasave a forbidden filetype to upload?). To reproduce, use the save havel_bug. With this save, go to Havel's city view. Notice there are 2/2 miners. Select a miner to send to another job. Notic...

Re: After Action Reports Wanted!

The print screen is dependent on OS. I'm currently on Linux and my print screen isn't mapped to any program. I'll map it later. I just wanted to know if the game itself had any screenshot functionality. In Windows, for example, I don't know how to take a screenshot directly to a file, the print scre...

Re: How to use citizens

Sorry, I misunderstood, I was thinking about the tutorial tips that appear earlier in the game, for example, when openning the workshop for the first time. The tooltips I did read.

Re: How to use citizens

Ok, it is more or less what I was thinking. About the scientists not helping, I think I understood too: the morale of the city is negative. Moving a scientist to be a farmer increases food output, but at the same time increases polution, which lowers morale. It seems also that morale is proportional...

DId you try Esc? I am sure there is a key to skip the movie. Or do you think that space and mouse click should also be default?

How to use citizens

I might not have enough paid attention to the tool tips, but could someone please help me understand the allocation of citizens to jobs? I know I can send citizens to jobs, which are available according to to the tiles that my city has access. But there lies my doubt: when I send a citizen to be a f...

Re: Backstory / Dialogue

I'm the opposite, I tend to notice more the wackiness of my own faction as I am more exposed to their expressions in the diplomatic interactions. However, after some time I tend to only read the short description of the action. [offers opinion]

Re: First impressions and ideas

Maybe you pay for the refitting of all "parked" units?
Maybe the military screen could show if a unit is refitable, and allow us to select a group of units to refit (through checkboxes, for example).

Re: Backstory / Dialogue

Out of curiosity, which faction do you identify as the communist one? I would think first of the Solar Dinasty, as the heir of the Chinese Communist Party, but it has stopped being about communism to be about authoritarism. And I find them one of the wackiest factions. The leader agrees to praise by...

Re: First impressions and ideas

Why does some factions declare war against me if : (1) they never entered my island and, thus they don't know me or not suppose to know where I am; (2) I didn't do anything to provoke them, not even spoke a single time to them. I agree. The game I played wasn't quite that bad, but many of the AI de...
