Does the date restriction in the FOG 25mm mean no Knights :) Just working on my Nik Byzantines... I think so - certainly scanning through the 2 books just now I can only see knights from 1041 or 1042 onwards, but I didn't set the lists, so you may have to make enquiries of those more expert than me...

Hi guys, For those considering/planning for/booking hotels for Warfare, to come to the 15mm Rise of Rome and Immortal Fire competition, I need to issue an important clarification. We WILL be allowing entries in accordance with Appendix 2 of these two army books - i.e. in addition to the armies liste...

I can answer for Warfare, as I'm the list-checker. :) For the two 15mm competitions, there are no date-restrictions, just the books. Out-of-book allies are fine. For the 25mm competition, due to popular demand we have expanded it from just "Wolves" to include Decline and Fall, but imposed a date lim...

Although in some ways the split in the DBM scene into FOG/DBM/DBMM (and FoW and some others as well - Andy Wilcox was playing WHF for example) is a shame, it does have benefits. In the old days, when I umpired the DBM at Warfare I had up to 70 games "under my wing" and there were plenty of things to...

We noticed the disbelief - however, 50 points out of 50 on the Sunday makes up for a lot of sins on the Saturday! :D

Ahhh.... having ensured licensed status for a number of Reading's restaurants, pubs and clubs I feel almost guilty.

Can I also say a big thank-you on behalf of the organisers to everyone who came to Warfare this year and made it such an enjoyable competition to run. Over all the competitions this year we had about a 20% increase in competitors - with the result that the bowling hall was the noisiest I can remembe...

A full list of Runners and Riders is now up on the BHGS website - www.bhgs.co.uk and follow the Stop Press link.

Hi guys, With less than 2 weeks to go, the final lists (and entries) are coming flooding in for what is promising to be a great set of Warfare FoG competitions. However, I'm looking for a few final e-mails etc to hunt down the last few players:- Martin van Tol (the e-mail I have *looks* right but bo...

Latest news, up to date as at Midnight 5 November 2008. FOG entries as at this evening are as below. A * means I am waiting for a list - naughty boys. :o) Those of a statistical turn of mind will note that the 25mm crew have been much nicer to me in getting their lists in on time (and their entries ...

And not just yours Pete. However, I do have your name down on my list so I know that we've got you (and your cheque :) ) now. If anyone else out there thinks that their entries have gone in but may have gone missing, shout to me - on or off board. Cheers, Tim t_and_e.child@tiscali.co.uk http://www.r...

Hi everyone, I picked up the latest competition entries from Steve East on Wednesday and things are picking up nicely, but interestingly! So far, we have 9 entries for the 25mm Early theme (Rise of Rome, Legions Triumphant and Immortal Fire), 9 for the 15mm Late theme (which includes the new Eternal...

Thanks for alerting the fans Nik! Entries received before the end of this month (30 September) are £12, but after that it rises to £15. :( I want to make sure that everyone knows. Last year, we had a great turnout for what was pretty much the final large beta-test competition. This year promises to ...
