You can block the tiles where the agents keep running with your units. Also the devs have said they will make agents usable as counterintelligence in cities.

Keeping agents at bay with blocking units actually works pretty well right now in MP. The problem I see is the AI because it only blocks them by accident. It would be very cool for MP to have an option that everyone gets his own island/continent on archipelago or continents or that the factions are evenly split on 2-3 continents. Too often there are overcrowded continents while other factions are isolated.

In MP you can change your faction if you change your name to the name assigned to it. :)

Deciding it democratically for each game independently would be fine by me. In the end Pandora in its current form can't provide a 100% fair tournament environment anyway because we have random maps and different factions with different properties. Well in the tournament game we finished earlier the agents added a lot to the game. AI certainly has its problems but for human players it adds a lot of possibilities. I would still stand by my opinion that the credit stealing has to be nerfed. It is way too strong right now.

You're right. With huge cities and no room for smaller ones the pollution gets a big issue. If you had space for a small city with 6 fungus around it you could easily outsource your food production there and lower your pollution in the big cities (moving farmers to science) though.
