Re: retire and artillery

Thanks for that. I have to agree with you on this point. But that means that the artillery unit must be facing the direction of their retreat! Is that correct? In the rule book page 63 "Retiring Units". The first paragraph is about a unit making a retire or evade move. The second paragraph is about ...

Re: Artillery retire to 3 MU

I came across this in the Outcome Moves Table on page 61 of the rule book. Below the table there is a "Definitions" section. In there it defines "Retire D6 + X" and states that " Unlimbered Artillery end their retire move Limbered". I take this statement to mean both a retire move of D6 as well as a...

Re: Errata, Army list and Attachments

Why is there an issue with using the army list out of the rule book? If you are playing in a tournament where the organisers have allowed for ALL army lists from E&E and ToN, then is there a problem? It is certainly not an historical one. The rule book list were designed as a general list to get pla...

Errata, Army list and Attachments

In the Emperors and Eagle errata and corrections July 2013, "artillery attachments counts towards the min and max bases permitted in the main list of E and E only". Would this also apply to the Anglo-Portuguese army 1810-1811 and the Spainish army 1810-1812 in the Field of Glory Napoleonic rule book...

Re: French Corps D'Observation 1808 - No light Infantry

Thanks Mike. That is a great insight into how you went about designing the army list, much appreciated. I play French and as my regular opponent is British we tend to stick to the mid to late army lists in Spain. But this list seems to have an interesting range of troop types and quality so I might ...

French Corps D'Observation 1808 - No light Infantry

There are no light infantry in the Emperors and Eagles, French Corps D'Observation 1808 list. I was wondering if this was the same problem that occurred in the French Army in Spain 1808-09 list. Checking Nafziger 808FSAA French army in Spain 1June 1808 there are but there seems to be a lot of incons...

French Corp D'observation 1808 - no light infantry

Wondering if there has been a mistake? Nafziger lists at least one regt in the 1st Corp of Observation of the Gironde and also for the Corp of Observation of the Ocean Coast. They are provisional but are listed as light.

Any new updates?

I was just wondering if there will be any further updates or revision to the rules and army list. There was some discussion about this a couple of months ago, but has since gone very quiet. Is Terry still active and part of the process or has he moved on to other things? I am still having loads of f...

Understandable. I play 28mm FOGN but live in the NT. I got down for CANCON 2013 as a spectator and am looking for an excuse to participate in 2015. Thanks

Re: Australian Championships at Cancon, Canberra, January 20

Sorry, can't resist any longer. Don't you mean CANCON 2015. Otherwise I will need to invest in a time machine. On another note is it only for 15mm or can 28mm get a look in?

Re: French Dragoons 1810-1812

Thanks Deadtorius for your reply. I am just wondering how other players have been interpreting this entry? If you read it from left to right you are able to have french dragoons that are veteran or drilled, you must have 4 bases but it is a maximum of 6 bases, so this only allows you to build one un...

French Dragoons 1810-1812

French Army in Spain 1810-12 page 166. French Dragoons have their unit maximum as 6 and then the Total maximum As 12, should the line separating veteran and drilled carry on through to the unit maximum column? Post this last month in the Emperors and Eagles site and have not had any response as yet....
