Re: Units I have learned to love
StuGIII do deliver defensive cover as if they were range 2, though. Not documented but easy to spot. So the sequence where they really shine is: Drive it adjacent to attacked unit, attack. Drive suppressed unit out of its position. Get an own unit into that position, the StuG will cover an eventual ...

Re: Congratulations for the game from an old PG addict
Thanks, I am aware of the minor advantages of decisives (prestige does NOT belong to them), but apart from these the feeling is missing that you actually really achive something on the grand scale. It is my nitpick though, does not have to be yours.

Re: Congratulations for the game from an old PG addict
May be. But my complain was not the highly irreal invasion of the USA missing (alone), but any real effect of a series of decisives. No chances to knock either GB or Soviet Union out of the war - but these two chances were real and PG I modeled these very convincingly.

Re: DLC 42 Feedback
Just finished Stalingrad Assault. Turn 24 decisive, no losses. Not particularly difficult if you take your time. Went in with 10 Inf, 9 Arty, 4 Fighters, 2 StuKas, 3 Level bomber (1 bought fresh), 3 Pz III N, else tanks and my 2 trusted 88. Key to success were the StuG III B, which easily survived u...

Re: Congratulations for the game from an old PG addict
Oooops, and one major nitpick: I did not study the GC trees before - is it true that regardless of your efforts and number of victories there is no influence on the war progress except for 45 Sealion in GC West?
If so than this is a huge flaw compared to PG I.

Re: why is this game so addictive?
The original this one was built on did not set a standard for nothing. One second of memory for one of the many dead yet groundbreaking game companies - SSI. No offense intended versus the makers of panzer corps - but they wisely only slightly modified and improved their template while vastly enhanc...

Re: Defense Heroes boost close defense?
Thank you very much, I actually suspected that. I alrady tested it before the answer and the SMG Infantry even refuses to attack against a Pz III N wothout artillery cover and without a defensive hero. 3 hurrahs! That will make the Stalingrad assault (I paused at turn 6) SO much easier. Regards, Tho...

Defense Heroes boost close defense?
Short and simple: Do heroes raising defense raise close defense as well? I am before the first Stalingrad scenario, have enough prestige to convert some tanks with high defense heroes to Pz III N (27.000 before replacements on General) and would simply like to know if it makes sense? Congratulations for the game from an old PG addict
It was truly a surprise to see a successor for PG on IPad. And a really good one, especially with the Grand Campaigns. Panzer Corps is so close to the original while making mostly useful tweaks that I already reached the Streets of Moscow on "General" with a balanced core of 41 units (4 SE...
