I paint by unit - 12 to 36 figs - all on roofing nails - stuck into a small piece of wood - so I can paint each figure individually
I almost always have about 12 units in production at any given time
That way I NEVER Get bored

The size of a FOG camp is the limit
I use smaller buildings for mine
A village is not the big either and with a bunch of stuff on it - it hard to trasnport from con to con

There are some great websites out there - google DBM camps

I really like the Liqutex acrilyic It adds some depth to the base and creats a nice effect I mix burnt umber or raw umber paint right in the bottle/tube of Liqutex I also have some lighter stuff to use for desert If you use the stucco version or the sand version of Liqutex - I think it turns out qui...

I really like the Citadel inks - they are pricey but I love the results

I have tried the min-wax stuff and the heavy DIP stuff - but came back to the inks
There are other brands of inks out there that are cheaper
