Yep must be better to use that oil (10/turn for two bombers) and PP to try to capture these cities instead. If for some reason the Middle East is captured and oil is flush though, then strat bombers look a lot more tempting.

Nice AAR. In addition to the Italy gambit, surely the fact that the Germans did not contest the Atlantic at all must have been decisive. When the Brits do not have to build DDs and can pour all those convoy PPs into offensive units, well, they become a *machine*

Ah yes, forgot about that one.

Anyway, since the Greenland-Iceland route is in, why not also the southern route which IIRC saw a lot heavier use?

Brazil and Allied air rebasing

In GS you still have to ship aircraft to Africa in sometimes risky operations. Historically the huge Allied air forces in Africa/Italy arrived through massive rebasing through Brazil, Ascension island and Dakar. Perhaps this should be implemented by placing an extra air base in the southwest of the ...

OK, so the new rule is "any 3 cities on Sicily and mainland Italy, excluding Reggio".

Wait, adding Reggio as a new Italian city must also mean that there is no longer any need for the Allies to slog their way up to Taranto or Naples to force conquest, as capturing Reggio should be the third city which still causes Italy to fold? If so then is more important than before to defend Sici...

Great work GS team! Re: Iceland, since the game does allow even more unhistorical stuff like to try to invade North America, why not allow the Axis to *try* to invade Iceland as well. It may not be wise, it will be costly, but having the game balance it "in-game" by these factors is a lot more inter...

GS2.0 looking good, but are there any plans to fix one issue which creates many gamey, unrealistic situations? I am talking about the effect of weather on air missions, where the values of air are halved if the weather is bad in the hex where the plane is based. If it is possible to program, a vast ...

With the BEF pretty much stuck and due to be wiped out I say go for Sealion. Also, would be quite interesting to see how it works out in GS 2.0x as there are some new options?

I think the poster is partially right about the oil situation. I would like to see the German Navy use less oil (or none). Why do you say? They ran on diesel (subs and some of the bigger ships) and crude oil. Tanks = petrol, planes = aviation fuel. From all of my reading of world war tow I never sa...

Good going! Might want to look out for some suicidal amphibious operations against strategic targets on the Caspian.

For all of KH's many mistakes it looks like the Allies still could deliver a knockout to the meagre Axis commitment to the Middle East. You seem too spread out and if the Allies are successful your marginal oil situation will be in serious trouble - it takes quite some time to get there but maybe so...

Since you have uncovered earlier in the game that his strategy is all-out attack with little consideration of defence why not continue the counterattacks in the north towards Minsk etc? Good to keep the Germans active when winter is at hand. I think sending US land forces to Russia should only be do...

Looks like the Med and the Mid East is Axis. In that context I suppose the -6 cost (how much in PPs?) for overtransport to the poor Italian economy is worth it!

I did similar succesful sealion against KH, would advise sending some naval forces to US coast to slaughter undefended convoys rather than sending all to North Africa. Luftwaffe can take care of RN there, but if you let convoys flow unimpeded into Canada the Brits will build up fast. Until the US en...

Great fix which again shows does help to post ideas in forum:)

Also, this makes it more viable to defend Sicily so landing there will be less of a walk in the park for the Allies.
