Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Im up for a nice friendly bash. Just let me know which side Im on and set up the game and the PW. Cool - well I'll set up something using the same parameters as this comp. I fancy taking the 1644 Parliament and Scots - I won't inflict Raiders on you - choose an army list that is 1644 or before and ...

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Since both my battles appear to be concluding before many others get underway, does anyone fancy a rehearsal/friendly using start of 1644 troops?

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Victory! The Scots dug deep and won in The Highlands 48/16. Thanks for the game Doyley50.

I fear it's about to be curtains in the North West, but one victory out of two is a major improvement on most of my previous turns!

Yes that's how I managed it too.

Have had a relatively good run since then, eight battles down and only two to go.

Do you think Tercio to Salvo will be released in time to use the 30% off voucher we've just been emailed? It expires on April 7th! :)

Re: Still absolutely loving it!

I suspected we'd have heard more if the date on the site was still accurate. No matter - a week more will just heighten the sense of anticipation :).

Still absolutely loving it!

I just wanted to leave a quick message to say that this is shaping up to be one of my favourite games of all time. I'm regularly getting my arse handed to me on a plate in multiplayer (sorry Parliamentary homeboys in 'The Great Rebellion'!) but I am slowly getting better and I'm really enjoying the ...

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Big loss in South Wales after the "Hand of God" cavalry intervention with auto-flank attacks across my left flank that I could neither predict nor prevent. Well played turenne. Dialogue box obscured the result at the end but it was something like 53/5.

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Well it *was* close in the Highlands! 23/17 was the best we did. then we sort of decided to go home for neeps and tatties. Ended a 54/28 loss I think. Well played Doyley50!

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

It's close in Scotland, but my game in South Wales has just been somewhat stymied by a flanking force arriving behind the Veteran Horse I was holding back and ripping through them like a hot knife through butter. Talk about random!

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

"South Wales for turenne" created.
Password "daffodil"

Both sides have the 1643 army. The bit in the OP about bonus points is completely opaque to me, so it's Player Choice with the default 1200 points. If this is wrong, please holler!

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

Absolutely, I'm not complaining about the new rules, just trying to work out what I'm doing next. I think the situation was not helped by the fact our 1643 CiC did not know he was CiC! He does now :).

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign

I'm afraid the increasingly complex rules have flummoxed me. This is not helped by the game being operated in multiple forums and posts issuing instructions being edited. Could someone please tell me where on earth I'm actually fighting in 1643? Highlands and somewhere else? I'll reiterate an earlie...

Having finally beaten Nantwich, the menu now defaults to the next battle - so my hiccup is fixed.
