Re: Where were we? Gettysburg: The Tide Turns releases this

No game editor, no sale, unless files are moddable. That's just me. Plus, playing Gettysburg on the computer so many years with so many games. And the complete abandonment of Brother vs. Brother still leaves a bad taste in my mouth - which has nothing to do with Shenandoah! But it's a popular topic,...

Re: Order of Battle returns to Asia with Burma Road!

As others have said, this is a very creative choice; also, so as not to mimic the old Panzer Corps campaigns. Nor do I recall ever playing a digitized campaign covering Burma in the last 30 years ;)

Re: AWNT Review of Afghanistan '11

It might have been mentioned that there are still significant bugs in the release version, some of which will stop you from finishing a tutorial or campaign. Also, the micro-management aspect is fairly heavy. These come from various posts, not from my own experience. After 20 years of loyalty, I wil...

Re: How tedious are logistics in this game?

It is great to see some very incisive comments on game improvements that will help the community if "patched." Of course, not every idea will be possible. As one who is (humbly) in the running for buying everything Matrix throws out there, my new attitude is hurry up and wait. The game will be patch...

Re: Both Campaigns won. Personal impression

Templar Battleforce was one tough game for me. I am afraid to go back to it!

Sorry to hear about problems with the second campaign regarding leveling up. I am not there yet.

But yes, fun game and I think it will be improved as sales seem fairly good.

Re: Some thoughts and some requests

Overall, I am impressed with the efforts of the whole team on this game. Know nothing about WH, but it's a good tactical game. And it does allow you to easily mod a lot of changes to balance, but I know that can be a problem in MP.

Re: Force Organization, Force Points, Wargear and AI selecti

As far as maximizing Force Points in skirmish, you can use cheat engine to keep replenishing points, although I have not gone crazy with that yet. :)

Re: Editor crashes with new patch

Pretty close! Scenarios will open but all the terrain objects are white. Most of us are plenty busy anyway, but really appreciate the quick response. Glad the game seems to be doing well, too.

Freeze when saving

Very occasionally, I will go to save the game and it will freeze and will need to restart my computer.

It's happened twice in maybe 8 hours of play, so not a huge issue.

Re: How do you RAISE the elevation using the editor?

A hotkey list would be helpful for the editor, if not already available?

How do you add or delete objectives in editor? Scripting or in that AI box thingie?

Thanks

Re: Losing units in the campaign.

The OP's is a good list of priorities from top to bottom. The advertising "boasted" about the game's new and improved scripting so let's see the AI make use of it.

It crashed my editor, so am now reinstalling the whole game but will stick with 1.00 for now. Could have been me, who knows?

Didn't get to first skirmish but assume your campaign units follow you through those as well?

Re: Yes, this game has Hotseat mode!!!

Admittedly, I have only played a couple of skirmishes and the first wolf scenario. So maybe there are some intensely scripted missions using their newer and more sophisticated scripting system - their words (paraphrased), not mine. As previously posted, multiplayer is another story, and should be qu...

Yep, multiplayer is a different ballgame for sure. I just don't have the time, but had some great MP games with the BA series.

Re: Level of complexity vs BA2

That's why I play games on an i7 desktop with lots of RAM and a decent video card. This is not a processor intensive game - I don't think? You are exactly right how it is not the "clear the town" aspect of BA2. It is often a mindless Orc horde just running at you. In BA2, there is tension and I real...
