Yes, Lupus is doing a nice job with his "Hoc est Bellum" website. The only other SoA scenarios I can find at the "scenarios design" forum are: * Scar's Blore Heath 1459: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16446 * Examinondas' Lucena 1483: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=...

You can find more SoA scenarios at Lupus' website http://web.me.com/beringar/Hoc-est-bell ... rrows.html

Also, take a look at the "scenario design" subforum.

I have not tried (yet!) these scenarios, but I think your idea of making every battle of Caesar's commentaries on the gallic wars is great :)

Do you have plans to continue with the commentaries on the civil wars?

Lupus, have you uploaded the starter armies to the website? IMO they are quite nice and useful. BTW, I think that so far no user-created armies have been shared, but I think that it could be interesting to try armies designed by other people. Perhaps you could create a section devoted to user-create...

Lupus has already converted all the RoR TT starter armies. You can find them here: http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16066 He also converted some of the SoA starter armies: http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16143 (BTW, IIRC during the SoA beta the Hexwar/Slitherine guys said they...

Just played Morgarten, nice scenario :D

Perhaps it is a bit too small (I would have used twice the number of BGs and halved their strength)

The javelins of the swiss halberdiers are a nice touch. The intro text is very informative.

I will probably play it again as the Habsburgs.

Medieval Castilian army lists errors: - There are two drilled protected average Hermandad Spearmen. I think one should be poor. - The MF unprotected Navarrese Javelinmen unit image has only 2 figures. - Navarrese allies: the MAA are average when mounted, and remain average when dismounted. Shouldn't...

A few more mistakes: - Medieval Castilian -> Aragonese allies: the Jinetes still use the beta, turkish-looking unit image - Medieval Portuguese: the Ginetes still use the beta, turkish-looking unit image - Medieval Crown of Aragon (all 3 lists): in the unit name "Almughavars skirmirshers" the s at t...

How about if anarchy test were done at the start of the turn for all units and the ones that didn't pass it would be flagged with the A to mark them as "this unit will charge on its own if you don't charge with it voluntarily"?? But the player already knows which units can go into anarchy by just t...

John - Thanks a lot for your battle report! :D I guess then that Lucena is more or less OK, so I can move ahead with other scenarios. I have a couple for RoR already done, but they need more playtesting, and I have also gathered some information on other battles of the Reconquista which could be in...

SoA 1.2.6 bugs

1) A couple of typos in the army lists: - Low countries (both lists): "feudal knights/(lesser) men-at-arms": the f is not capital - Latter Burgundian: "Low coutnries crossbowmen": note the typo in "countries" 2) There seems to be also some mistakes in both German army lists: - The unprotected handgu...

I have just updated the Lucena scenario, fixing some issues (the most notable is that the Granadine Heavy Cavalry is no longer classified as Knights) and introducing lot of changes in the OOBs. These modifications in the OOBs were necessary to rebalance the scenario after the changes in the AI intro...

Very nice! :D Just two minor comments: - The screenshots for the Medieval Castilian and Santa Hermandad Castilian are the same. - It looks like the screenshots where taken with a beta version of the game, because some unit images changed in the final release (this is the case, for example, of the Ca...

Even though the ranking only tracks single player, there is something strange with the numbers in the table.

Take my case for example:

Draws: 1
Games Played: 116
Loses: 3
Wins: 115

Adding draws, loses and wins, you get 119, not 116 as shown under Games Played.

Not that it matters, but...

I don't believe we will ever see the AI handling correctly a Thermopylae-type scenario without some kind of victory hexes, and I think the attacker/defender roles would be easier to simulate if there was some clear objective for the AI to attack/defend (Of course, the Hexwar/Slitherine guys know mor...

Thanks for your comments John! Regarding the small force at the rear, I played quite a lot with its size and composition, but at the end went for the historical option: 100 foot (which at the scale used could only be a MF swordsmen or crossbowmen unit) and 50 cav (which could only be a Jinetes unit)...

Yes, I think you're right. I don't have the SoA TT army lists, but at Madaxeman's site there is a sample army which includes: 2x 4 Cv/Superior/Drilled/Armoured/Lancers/Swordmen 1x 4 Kn/Superior/Undrilled/H.Armoured/Lancers/Swordmen The knights must be the Christian mercenaries, so the Granadines are...

Lucena 1483

After a long break, a new scenario for Storm of Arrows: Lucena 1483 Santa Hermandad Castilians vs Late Granadines While returning to Granada after a raid into Castilian lands, the army of King Boabdil was attacked by the forces of Don Diego de Cordoba, Count of Cabra. The Granadines, with 700 cavalr...

I think it is the same problem discussed in this thread, where EricS posted a workaround.
