You weren't able to invade Norway with two German corps at once? Any particular reason why?

Thanks, I wasn't sure, but I'd thought I'd risk it anyway. 50PPs down the drain!

Allied units disappear from Syria after fall of France

I'm in PBEM game, where Paris didn't fall until Aug 26. So I was able to move a couple of UK units into Damascus & Lebanon. When Paris fell and Syria turned Vichy, the units seem to have disappeared, and are not even in the Allied build queue.

Is this a known bug?

So I'm wondering from a CEAW perpsective, which fills you with more dread or excitement, Barbarossa or D-Day?

You've started Barbarossa, very early, which is a good thing in my mind, but you're looking quite light in the number of units, although you have a stiong mechanised element. Attacking Odessa across a river with a single Panzer corps was very brave! I normally don't want he Russians to be able to re...

Barbarossa vs D-Day, which was bigger

A local tv channel is re-running 'Band of Brothers' at the moment. They are trumpetting that D-Day was the largest military operation ever. My intuitive feeling was that Barbarossa was larger, involving more men. But that D-Day was more complex in it's co-ordination requirements between each of the ...

Not sure if 3 TAC and 3 Fighters will be enough for Barbarossa. Not that I've had any successful Barbarossa's against human opponents, but I normally go with at least 5 TAC in order to establish breakthroughs inthe Soviet lines.

I presume you put Rundstedt on the GAR becssue you had no other option and are willing to pay the relocation costs in the future. Good early spotting of the CAN air force BTW.

Your quote about partisan's indirectly impacting rail capacity reminds me of the AH Russian Campaign boardgame. Partisan units were always placed on rail hexes where-ever possible by the Russian player.

Ah yes I was much too hasty, as Treebeard would say. I read the GS manual at it was obvious then. I see now why convoys that have only two escorts have one stationed fore and aft, so at least one can attack any sub that attacks the convoy in the previous turn.

Submarine Warfare in GS

I'm at a loss on how to attack u-boats. When I spot a u-boat, which has attacked one of my allied vessels last turn, I move either BBs or DDs next to it or move a CV in range, but I can't seem to attack it, no white circle appears over the u-boat. Does weather have an effect?
