Re: MP malfunction

I have a number of "bad allocation" messages (three, I think) when I am watching my opponent's replayed turn. It causes the game to crash completely. I re-load the game and then it works fine. I haven't lost a game, or any turns even, but something niggly is going on here. Happens when I go to mult...

Re: 1914 Campaign: Slick vs. the Privileged AI

...and unfortunately you can currently replay mulitplayer turns like you can with CEAW. However the combat results are a lot less variable thant CEAW, and you don't have to email files between players.

The AI however is massively better than CEAW.

Re: Being able to exit a MP turn

<snip> ot: i do agree with this, but at the same time there should be some way to repair an honest error, one simple missclick can screw up your entire game (this goes for sp and mp alike) Undo move works okay when there is no Fog of War. But with Fog of War, allowing a player to undo a move can gi...

Being able to exit a MP turn

Just to be upfront first, I'm not condoing cheating, or even wish to cheat in Multiplayer games. It's one of the things that finally put me off Commander Europe at War, the ability to replay a turn, and if you don't like it, then exit the game and reload it and start from scratch. It seems that this...

Re: Advice - Use of Submarines

Subs aren't particularly powerful, their advantage lies in stealth. Subs can't be attacked unless they attack first (unless you have the misfortune of an enemy unit moving to the same hex), so try to pick on isolated convoys. Don't use the to take on the enemy navy directly. In particular, avoid ta...

Advice - Use of Submarines

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on the use of submarines. In the the early war they seem somewhat pathetic. I've even seen a Battleship run into them when they were hidden, and the sub suffered 5 hits to none. I'm used to seeing the reverse happen in CEAW. And advice would be useful.

Re: AAR: The Schlieffen Plan.

I suspect this may follow the same path as CEAW and FOG. playing games versus the AI is where you learn the game, Multi-player will be where the real fun begins.

Re: AAR: The Schlieffen Plan.

Morale loss. When that drops to 0, the nation will offer surrender. You can't see the morale value of your enemies though, so it's about trying to do as much damage until they reach their breaking point. In addition, when a nation has lost all its capitals it can no longer produce units. Marseille ...

Re: AAR: The Schlieffen Plan.

So what impact does the loss of Paris have on the French, obviously unlike CEAW, France doesn't surrender when Paris falls.
