You know, if the British don't have Strategic Operations Lv. 5 yet (and they probably don't), then you can station your fighters by Berlin. The Ruhr will be at the edge of their range and the RAF fighters won't be able to escort their Strats. The other side of the coin is that having an air unit in...

Re: Campaing's battle

this game is fantastic, i'm doing the 1 english campaign: in future is there a sige at a castle or a sige at a camp?? Sadly no really. Unless they have changed the campaigns from what they were for PC from a year ago. But there is a battle or two in a camp setting. I recall one of them took some ex...

I don't know but I've been trying to find out! The multiplayer sounds potentially very promising. The server never shows anyone else logged on when I log onto it. I am logged on right now. Please come on with a small sized army and we could test it out...

Sadly, no luck of anyone showing up yet on the server despite many hours of being logged on. Granted the read count for the thread was only 6 after a day. But I did some more army building. One thing I noticed was the uniform colour and shield insignia is disabled for the multiplayer army editor. Is...

You also fail to see the forest from the trees. Invasion of France is very much a prelude to real war or real action. It's more important that the avarage fall date of France is acceptable than what units are involved. Great success, difficulties or blunders during the invasion will have their affec...

Looking for an Opponent to Test Multiplayer

Gentlemen, As the title says I'm looking for an opponent to test out the multiplayer option. The server seems to be always empty so I'll try if posting here helps. This would be a very basic test: A) to find out if my/service provider's firewall allows this or if I need to start looking into what ne...

Forced to Full Screen Mode

Hi, Started the game to see if anyone is on the multiplayer server after many months of last time playing the game. What I found out that when I start the game and deselect the Full Screen at the begining the game still starts in the full screen mode. The options.txt file in the approriate my docume...

The leadership quality seemed to be the same going by the table Stauffenberg posted into another thread. But the leaders are cheaper in 2.0. So you can buy more to cover the area needed.

Hi, Again this is from dark corners of memory playing the game a year a go. Yes, I liked it so much that I still keep popping up on this forum from time to time to see what's up with the game. One thing I quickly realized was that 1-handed sword and 1-handed weapon are two different weapon classes. ...

Wow! Now that's some serious "customer service". May I just take my hat off to the team for doing this. Thank you.

Hi there, I beat the Peasants in the first mini battle, but then I move on to the next battle and I get beaten every time, even when I select 'battle cry'. After you've beaten the peasants in the first combat, do you move your General to next red victory point icon? When you reach it the rest of th...

Interesting, although the paratroop cost isn't too huge - slightly less than an infantry corps or slightly more if you factor in the jump cost - (assuming there are no limits on paratroop builds). I think limit how many you can have at the same time has been mentioned by mr Stauffenberg previously....

Removing the negative expenditure alltogether might be bit radical and remove some flexibility from the players? Well, you could basically achieve the about the same level of flexibility by treating, say, 50 PPs as the old 0 PPs when you play. Then guarding the flexibility would became player's resp...

Negative PP Expenditure

Hi, The following is something is fast becoming my pet peeve playing the game. Some PP usage is allowed only if you have positive PPs and stay away from negatives after the act, some usage is allowed having positive PPs but ending up with negatives and other allow outright negative expenditure. No, ...

Looks like nobody else got motivated enough to keep track of how much the new feature saves oil for Axis in their game. For some time I'm also thinking about a "northern" Axis strategy in which the Axis capture Norway and Sweden. This gives the Axis rail capacity in Scandinavia, but I still miss a good strategy to attack the Soviets from the north. Same here. I've tried to workout if it would be worth the trouble at...

Augmented Terrain Movement Chart

Happy holidays everyone, Here's an augmented movement point cost chart for terrain. When I started to play the game there were some oddities regards movement that couldn't be explained the chart in the manual. The number of movement points MECs had, MPs required to enter a hex in the chart and how m...

The leg movement shows the basic movement cost for entering that terrain. The vehicle icon shows the vehicle penalty for entering that hex. That means movement cost IN ADDITION to the leg movement cost. Armor and mech units are considered vehicles while corps and garrisons are not. So if you look a...
