Re: Discussion on CEAW-GS v2.10

Greetings, Just a quick comment from shadows. 1. Retreats for air units being attacked by ground units. Retreat is now set to 100 and will happen even if the air unit occupies a city or fortress. So you can't anymore hold any defense lines with air units unless the defense line is double so retreat ...

Railing on the first turn after DoW

Hi, Wasn't railroading to be impossible on the first turn you are DoWed on? In our game with peterfrigade he DoWed on Soviets in turn 32 with fair weather all around. The Ruskies were surprised and suffered the morale loss. But they could still rail unit during their first turn. Maybe I remember inc...

Hi all, Here's the last one between I and peterjfrigate. Again Aug 6. Despite different strategies and different weather. LOL. I think he kept the option to blitzkrieg open in one game at least, but was hampered by '39 fall weather. So all turned out to be Sitzkriegs. The casualties in this game inc...

The unit needs to start its turn next to a friendly port. Select the unit and click on green transport icon located in the unit panel in the left bottom corner. It's next to the railroad icon.

_augustus_ //if that doesn't solve it I'll let someone with better English to explain it :)

Hi, This was in one game of our tripleheader to start and play 3 games to the fall of France to provide stats and continue with a random one from therefore so there is the incentive play as you'd normally would. 38. Belgium and Holland are also linked. If Holland is DoW’ed on a prior turn then Belgi...

You get a message about severe winter in Russia. What you would see is this. Northern/eastern Europe: Fair (severe winter) Central Europe: Fair Mediterranean: Fair So if you see in the weather report at the start of the turn that severe winter is mentioned in parenthesis then you know there is seve...

Let's see. No SW in of Nov'40, no SW in either of Dec '40 turns and 7 turn SW:
.75 x .25 x .25 x .05 = 0.23%. Very unlikly indeed.

Here's a quick guess. They got SW the latest possible turn in Jan '41. They got the longest SW possible. Zechi is playing Allies. The SW ends after Axis turn. Hence Moscow was fair in Zechi's turn in May. But Moscow was still in SW during Axis's turn in May. Which would be all working according the ...

Hi, "Problems" arising from DoWing when the enemy capital is non-fair weather keep popping up, not often, but regularly. Would it be possible have the game check the weather and have a warning in the DoW-promt that you're DoWing in bad weather. Even better have a brief explanation what are the effec...

I like leaders with att/def bonuses. Including for France. But Morris had 4 French leaders out there, right? There is only 2 French leaders who have bonuses. And then Gamelin the Free One. The fourth one is a waste IMHO. Especially IF he's Girad with leadership 5 at 35 PPs. That only 2 EFF more than...

Heya,

Attack and defence bonuses I reckon. The overlapping doesn't average the bonuses in GS 2.0 anymore. Units use the best leader in range.

Hello, It's good to hear the situation will get corrected. Will the triggers include Albania and Sardinia after the fix, too? May I drop an other idea for a fix? Have it so that each of the fortress gets built one time after the trigger on the first turn the hexe is in Axis hands. That way a suicide...

Heya, To expand the sample size at hand would anyone be interested in the following? The default options settings. I play Allies and you play Axis. Let's start 3 games simultaneously and play each up to the fall of France. At that moment let's draw a random game which to continue. That way the sampl...

Greetings Borger, This might be worth a revisit and finetuning in the code: GSv2.01.18 - August 6, 2011 63. Removed the Gustav Line fortresses in Italy from all scenarios except the 1944.scenario. Added code that will remove the fortresses in ongoing games that haven’t reached July 1943 or had Allie...
