d. It not Fallschirmjager but Fallschirmj ä ger, an "a" with an unlaut mark. "Jäger" means "hunter". However I do not know if this is perhaps a code problem? In my games I could rename the units with the letter "ä". I thought one wasn't ought to be able to rename elite units? But changing a to ä wo...

Hi, Reading other posts on forum made me realize you were more after feedback on 1942 in games with regular Barbarossa rather than '42 Barbarossa. All that text for nothing :) Well almost. The balance would shift towards Soviets in 1942 Barbarossa scenario with those changes. Has the '42 Barbarossa ...

Stauffenberg: I also want feedback from you regarding the latest changes about linking Belgium / Holland and Norway / Denmark and the slight increase in war effort gained while at peace. Russia gets 8 garrisons as a strategic reserve in August 1941. This is also something I like feedback on. We need...

Hello, Frankly I don't know. If you select "off" the ends in May 1945 option I'm not sure what happens beyond 1945. Again, GS was designed to end on turn 105 (May 1945). The option to select "off" that setting is a carry over from the vanilla game and, in all rights, should not be a setting option f...

Re: 1943 scenario questions

Hi, Italian navy might as well go on suicide missions because you will lose them within a few turns Nah. In my personal opinion the navy is worth more as a threat if it stays in port and intact than what it's worth if it does a single suicide mission. As a threat to transporters and lone ships cruis...

Hi Plaid, 530 Login authentication failed Thats what I got after entering this login and password. So no way to download I fear. Anyone else have same problem? That's what I got the first time. But air unit outside of the severe winter area but operating from bases in a more temperate zone shouldn't suffer any effect I think. Given the game turn is 20 days worth of operations and does not present a single misson to the winter zone I reckon an unit should suffer from operating in bad weath...

Weather Zone Border Lines and Production Queue

Hello, Would it be possbile to include a feature which would enable you to toggle on and off the weather zone borders on the gaming map? Say a red dotted line. This would be most useful on the vast expanses of Atlantic for example but would be helpful elsewhere, too. Preferably companied with a keyb...

Transport Image for Hungary Bug

Hi,

Lst_hungary0_32.png should probably be a graphic of a ship rather than an icon.

Cheers,

Update troubles (PC)

Hi, Extracted the PC 2.01.07 patches found here: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24517 . The end result: http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/9605/unled1hoo.jpg That's image of 1st Allied turn for '39 scenario. At other zoom levels things look normal. I think. I did it twice but the en...

I was thinking the total number of times your leaders go to R&R in a v2.0 games. So Rommel is KOed 2 and Guderian 3 times that's total of 5.

Just get an idea of how small the invidual death chance would need to be so that one would be typically faced with, say, 0.5 leader deaths per game on average.

Hi all,

Personally I'd like to see the possibility eliminating a commander and his staff. A very small chance, but I'd like see it.

Here's a question for you all who have played fair number of v2.00 games. Typically how many leaders get KOed during your games? A ballpark figure?

Yes, and lovely images they are. Other nations just happen to have either clearly different silhouette and/or clearly different colour schemes. I guess my suggestion to improve the Soviet situation would be to have either all levels of FTRs in plain and all levels of TACs in camo. Or vice versa. Fin...

Hey, For AC, you couldn't lock partisans in place even in the previous versions with a single unit IF it was fair weather. The partisan has 1 movement point and can use it to move away from your unit to clear/city/resource hex. City hex cost 1 point to enter. When the weather is bad the 1 MP partisa...

Very pretty :)

Is it possible to change city's name during the war? One could have Petrozavodsk changed to Äänislinna if Finns capture it and renamed back when Finland is knocked out of the war. Finns renamed the city after the capture historically. Just a thought for more chrome.

Hi all, Anyone else experiencing this? The images for Soviet FTRs and TACs at various levels are mix of plain dark green with the red star and camouflaged scheme. Whenever the map is filled with Soviet air units at mixed tech levels it takes some attention to make sure which air unit is TAC and whic...
