Re: Universal Carrier Movement Points
A system (a table) would be nice, which translates the values of real units from WW2 into the game. Values like speed, armour, range and so on. We would have more realistic units then and new units would be easy to add, without any issues because such a table would provide all the values you need. N...

Re: Editor: Map cropping
Here, you can see what does not work : http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=374&t=78911 Advice: it is better to make a too big map at first than a too small map (Do not forget that borders are not playable) It is impossible to add or suppress a column to the left :( Thanks @te...

Re: Editor: Map cropping
I hope at some point in the future some kind of 'fool-proof' user interface will replace the command. Something like this from 'The Operational Art of War'. After selecting from the menu, you get a box where you put in the number of hex-rows/columns added/removed. Thanks Is there still no easy way ...

Re: Blitzkrieg No Transport
Great, you are welcome! That's Landsersprache or Landserjargon, a Landser is a German soldier. They used many special words like that for everything during WW2. The Russian 76mm M1942 (SiS-3) for instance was called "Ratsch-Bumm", because firing (ratsch) and impact (bumm) followed in quick...

Re: Burma Road so far...
I agree with Andy, Kerensky did a great job, so thanks again for all the work you have done. Burma Road is a very great DLC, I had a lot of fun during the beta and I can't wait to see more "what if" scenarios. At the moment I am playing the Winter War DLC again (my version) but right after...

Re: Why I don't think export core will work for German campa
Interesting yes, difficult to balance yes, adds a ton of workload on a small team. Probably not practical hence. I thought about such changes, because I have lots of 5 star elite units soon in every campaign and the enemy has mostly none, that makes the fighting for me a little boring at times. Per...

Re: Burma Road so far...
@Kerensky: I'm pretty sure you didnt mean it that way, but I am not stupid or sloppy with this. I finished the mission with Jap HQ destroyed and bridges down. (Not both. Can only do one. And went for SAS instead of Chindits because the supply issue.) I already split up my forces, but they all ran o...

Re: Revise Australian Commando message?
I would like to know how to edit something like this myself someday. It's not something that is readily available, so I doubt it, but it would be nice. Well looky here! I'm not so dumb after all. Screenshot 6.jpg Doesn't this look better and sound more logical? May I offer you the file as a ...

Re: Why I don't think export core will work for German campa
If you ask me and if possible, I would change the whole experience-system of OoB, to try out something more or less "new". Every unit should have the chance of getting a commander, including enemy units. Units should have only three different stages (or even none): Recruit, Veteran and Eli...

Re: Heavy Steel preview
One last thing about the Waffen-SS. Some of their units committed war crimes throughout the war: The massacre of Le Paradis for instance in 1940, the massacre of Oradour in 1944 (which was the largest massacre of Western Europe), the massacre of Sant'Anna di Stazzema in Italy 1944 and the Malmedy-ma...

Re: Heavy Steel preview
In my opinion the name "SS" should have no place in this game. Well, then spend your spec points elsewhere. Nobody forces you to include them in your playthrough of Blitzkrieg. You are right @Andy2012, I can do that but that wasn't my point. Anyway, you know my opinion now, enough said.

Re: Heavy Steel preview
I have met people of the Waffen-SS in my life, so, I know a little about the Waffen-SS. They weren't exactly the SS, which was responsible for concentration camps and mass killings of Jews and other so called "Untermenschen". The Waffen-SS was mainly busy with fighting at all frontlines an...

Re: Heavy Steel preview
(Of course that also opens up that whole Nazi fanboy sh*tbox, so, yeah...) I just want to mention, that since the SS has officially become part of Order of Battle, I refuse to share this game with my friends on social media. I would have no problem with a different title for these units but to call...
