Solo Campaigns?
I wonder how many people would be interested in some sort of simple solo campaign module, perhaps a tweak of that of P&S? I currently play solo using MOE for strategic moves, then play out tactical battles, and then edit the results back into MOE. I even think you could offer more than one such ...

Re: FOG2 Developer’s Diary – Innovations and Differences
People who are serious about wargames should consider getting an older windows machine to their Ipads as a backup and for wargames. They run $200 or less.

Re: Combat results
I think it would also help to have a gap or a line between each batch (phase) of results.

Re: Combat results
I do recommend you put in a bar to adjust speed of combat results reporting. Right now Ill have to video capture every result phase.

Re: Combat results
Is the detailed combat window a regular window that could be put onto another screen or perhaps fed out to a text file or maybe printed?

Combat results
Is there any easy way to nerf the combat results? I would like to tweak my copy to avoid some of the really heavy results. I like retreats, I dont like units destroyed/reduced to 1 or 2 pts. Also is there any way to pause the combat results? Id like to pause them for each result, then hit space or w...

Can reinforcements (new units) be turned off?
For my solo games, I would like to control the forces used in scenarios, and therefore I need to turn off the AIs ability to buy new units.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks!
George

Re: How Can I Pause the Combat During the AI turn?
Thanks! Hurky Jerky is better than nothing!
But I want to record and replay the AI turn each turn. Can it do that?
This is a pet peeve of mine with my slitherine tactical games. I wish more of them had a setting to pause after every combat result.

How Can I Pause the Combat During the AI turn?
I can see my combat results during my turn using the L key, but If I use it during the AI turn the AI continues moving. I am missing many of its combats. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thanks,
George

Re: Cant find my Historic Scenario in game
Ive been playing other games and came back to PS, and have the same problem again. I have problems like this with many newer games . My suggestion is that you make the process of naming and finding scenarios more intuitive and less graphical, or at least have an option for a more classical windows l...

Where are the Random maps Located?
Is it possible to import the random DAG maps into the scenario editor? And if so, where are they located in the directory?
Thanks!

Re: Any Advice for Solo Campaigns?
Yes, thats helpful. I was doing some of these things, but will add others. I am winning about 75% of tactical battles. I should start another topic on the PC AI, I think its pretty good, but I would like to see more variation in its strategy for the battles. It seems I am fighting the same battle ea...

Any Advice for Solo Campaigns?
I have been enjoying the solo campaigns but am not making much progress. I wonder if it would be possible to make an easier level for those of us who would like a little less challenge? But in any case, can you all offer me any advice on how best to play? I am playing the P&S generic campaign, w...

Re: Designing your own Campaign maps
Thanks so much, I believe I understand now. There are no other files a person might want to customize to mod a campaign on an existing map?

Re: Designing your own Campaign maps
Thanks! The rest of that file seems intuitive to me, so just one question about Campaign.BSF (this file is very intuitive, too) I see how to set the turns for each year (currently 6) If you change that, say to half months, do you need to provide names for the new turns (say, "early May"), ...

Re: Designing your own Campaign maps
Great, and further down there is this (I see the long list of provinces later seems to list which connect, but this is a quick way to put some provinces out of bounds to change the historic situation): } // Can be used to put some provinces out of bounds FUNCTION IsProvinceOutOfBounds(province) { re...

Re: Designing your own Campaign maps
OK, I found the tools.bsf and am studying the data there. Im working on the Ottoman Camapign. I thought I might just ask one question at a time. If I come to understand the whole thing maybe I could summarize them later in one post. Starting at the top, what does this do? // Set strength multiplier ...
