The new campaign file adds Italy. It should allow to purchase Italian units in the final missions. I don't exactly know when the change kicks in. I have come as far as the Karamas battle... but Im a little puzzled: no German units can be used. 10 core slots can be filled, but not with German (core) units. When entering the purchase menu to buy new Italian equipment, all units appear in red - I can not buy new units. But pressing F8, it shows ...

I play FM, with AI level 2, limited dice chess, 1.14 rules and play with 3 or 4 11-strength units to compensate for AI's units throughout the game with 10+ strength.

I upgraded an infantry unit with +1 movement and +1 attack hero to bridge engineer. It gives extra speed and usefull at the same time for attacking wounded AI units if needed.

Ah ok - thanks... It does explain the rule of game, but I would expect that replenishments would have same requirements as replacements in a theatre of war... In fact - the other way around - I would have expected supply more than new recruits when encircled... Flying in new ammo etc. in Bastogne 19...
