Re: StuG IIIB
However - having the StuG IIIB in the PC artillery section means it can never be upgraded to a better AT-unit, although it was used in both ways. I remember Close Combat - The Russian Front gave an early option to obtain it and use as AT. Nice change for the Panzerjäger which was too vulnerable.

Re: A few questions from a new Panzer Corps player? :)
I have arrived at Stalingrad's Docks, 2nd time I play GC East, 1st one halted at Oboyan. Prestige/experience settings at 70% until 1942, then dropped it for the winter battles to 50%. Prestige currently at 9500, still some units left to upgrade. I guess the overstrength is killing me, as I keep all ...

Uhm... can someone please point out the exact problem of the soft cap in layman terms? Or a link in which it is already described?

Re: How to calculate AI amount of moves possible...
PC 01.jpg Similar type of question, which I come across often, but especially important regarding to rec units: how much movement is left when I enter the hex pointed out by the white arrow - depending of cours on the type of terrain? As anyone has experienced before, if the rec does spot a lethal ...

Re: Effects of advanced settings on surrendering units
Ok that helps - had turned the option on as it seemed plausible that a unit surrendering would give me profit in capturing the units armor, vehicles, etc. Although I disagree that this should be negativly affected by the sliders: a surrender is a surrender and should give the same amount of gain/bon...

Re: Effects of advanced settings on surrendering units
I guess you have answered your own question :P Well no... haha... was considering if it might also depend on wether one has progressed farther in the campaign, that is: rewards are higher in 1939-41, lower in 1942 etc. Anyway - would welcome confirmation from developer, etc. instead of merely assum...

Re: Multiple Heroes on 1 unit
I choose to neglect the first Rudel alltogether and keep it in reserve. Have other Stuka units instead gather all the experience. Then deploy first Rudel in Minsk to get the second, but again not using it in battle. Then in next scenario sell first Rudel. Reason is low defense value which will one d...

Effects of advanced settings on surrendering units
Does any change of the advanced settings also effect the amount of prestige earned when a unit surrenders?
I have lowered the settings, that is, more difficult, and it appears a much the prestige earned is lowered considerably...

Re: Sea Lion saved army core continues in DLC 43 East
Since "Sea Lion" is a counterfactual, an alternative to ultimate Axis victory in WWII, the first battle should include the reduction and capture of Dunkirk. As you know, cautious Hitler halted his Army on the outskirts of Dunkirk allowing hundreds of thousands of British and French troops...

Re: Wondered what direction your planning on taking after so
I must admit I only play the German side... Same with PG, have tried Pacific General and Allied General, but stuck to the Germans as I enjoy their build up/development of forces over the years more than the allied side (US, Brits or Russian). I'd go for chasing USA after beating Moscow therefore. Al...

Re: How to calculate AI amount of moves possible...
Wait a second... How did you get a 14 strength PzKpfw IV? Well spotted  I was using advanced settings and wanted to find out what happened when using overstrength slider - it is a unit with 11 basic points therefore. I have two such units, the other one the SdKfz 232, three hexes to the left o...

Re: Capturing a Victory hex/Objective
Have another question about this: suppose it is a city in which new units appear, if there is no unit around to capture the city, does simply leaving it on the city hex by another unit (say SdKfz 7/1) for one turn prevent the AI to still use that city to build a unit? Yes leaving any kind of land u...

Re: How to calculate AI amount of moves possible...
Yes - its both a question and request for improvement - that is: if I havent missed any chance of getting this type of info. And yes - (thanks goose_2) I was safe moving my art to the hex in question - because of the Pz.IIIs blocking their Ai's movement. But there are numerous moments when I wish I ...

How to calculate AI amount of moves possible...
Have question about how to calculate the amount of moves AI's units have and added screen shot from Novorod. Red circle involves hex, in which I consider moving either Sturmpanzer, for obvious defense reasons. But - can it be attacked by the BT-5 or Conscripts? I would love a mouse hoover choice of ...

Cheat code for heroes?
Taking a second full GC East campagne for the 2nd time, again I notice that heroes are given to artillery that dont give them any benefit. The first two I was very glad: +1 range!!! But then: +1 defense, +1 spot and +1 spot. Dont think any players are around that use artillery for spotting... Is the...

GC east strategy purchasing new units
In a 2nd time starting the GC East campaign (first one failed - have to try again ;-) ) I am trying to build up a substantial amount of experienced units by buying them in an early stage, where the amount of time is favourable and the chances are higher for gathering experience. So, when arriving at...
